I dont want to start a flame thread here.. But I work for a phone company.. I manage various switches/routers, DSLAMS, all sorts of expensive toys. If I were to have a service interruption for over a week straight where I couldnt fix it I'd be out of a job. What am I refering to here? Simple - CCP has for over a week straight, failed to get their servers starting properly. From the client end they start doing 10 minute countdown over and over so I'm taking a guess that they have nodes failing to start, database issues, proxy issues.. Whatever may be triggering it.
CCP get your rears in gear and fix the problem for good..
Already time has passed for an op I had planned and had people waiting around for. I understand you added several new proxy boxes lately and the problems have seemingly escalated since. Test hardware/software combinations before integrating it and if it doesnt work dont do the bloody upgrade go back to what worked right before. I am a paying customer.. I pay for 2 accounts of my own and I pay for 2 accounts for a family member so I'd like to consider myself a well-paying customer. This is getting old and tiring.

For those who are going to flame back to go to WOW, Sims Online, Star***s Galaxy, whatever.. Maybe I should.. Their services seem to be at least just as reliable lately.

Eve only runs one server, and they appear to have a hardware problem in one of the clusters, which is causing the issue. Check the news.

This game is so deep and in my opinion 100 fold better than any other online game. I'm happy that they are taking the time to make it work right.

you know if there wase'nt whining and people saying they want this kind of content that kind of content balance the game blah blah oh and all on one server would be swell to it might go smoother im all for more stuff i am iv been playing since release and eve is its own beast and has always performed amazing with very few major down times you have a right to your opinion its your money but i as well pay for multi accounts 3 of them and im a patient man and i know ccp and every one there is doing what they can to fix this problem we have it has mostly taken a few weeks from every patch/content for eve to balance out and play ok this isnt anything new

This is the umpteenth time I've seen people coming out with the "I work in an organisation where if the network was down for half a nanosecond it would be unacceptable" line.
Get over it, or apply for a job with CCP, then maybe you can help sort out their issues overnight, just like everyone else in IT expects to be possible.

when you have ran a server like the EVE one with 30 000 concurrent users.
