Oh god. Another complaint without justification or explanation.
Research agents? How else is T2 supposed to get in our hands.
Regular agents? Stop doing them if you don't like them.

I have no problem with agents as they are, I just wish there was another avenue to acquire t2 skills and stuff. Let everyone interested in agents do them. Just offer another avenue maybe have bship npc drop some t2 skills/prints once in a great great while. Agents are a great thing for the frelance minded folk, but for me anyway, I play the game to play WITH my friends. Evolution..... Just when you thought you were winning.

Edited by: Jash Illian on 22/12/2003 06:37:55 One of my agents just 'lost' a shipment of items worth about 120m at current prices
Plus there's the extra million made just taking the antibiotics, textiles and other trade goods they've given me and dumping them on the market below npc sell price. And the 50m or so in skills I have laying about if I decide to get off my ass and push selling them.
I mean its like you want corporations to oblige each other like its sex or something. Pffft I would rather **** my enemy.- Rohann

Dude, haven't you figured it out yet. The DEVs decided when the agents give us the tech II crap. So they probably aren't finished with it all yet. It will probably be a month till an agent gives someone a tech II bp.

what might be a good idea is,
When they come to do the lottery on the tech 2 BP's, they could perhaps do a quick code for say the BS's to drop a total of 5 or 10 BP's of the same BP thats being given out in the lotto, so that ppl who arent doing the agent missions have a chance to get some BP's but no where near the same chance as ppl running the agent missions,
Obviously make the BS that drops the BP random drop, just to make it that more difficult and rarer.

There are known knowns, there are known unknowns and there are unknown unknowns??? OMG WTF LOL I mean c'mon, just think about it. What would make more sense then the 3 most hated alliances teaming up to lay waste to the people they all hate anyways? CA is already allied with PA, and TPS lies between the two alliances. Natural allies to be sure. But it's not just that, all but PA (and even some of them) have adopted a "stfu and die, or come and fight us, we don't give a **** what you think or do" philosophy, as well as a PvP Kill everyone not friend kind of mentality. These are the people in eve that kill or convert, the ones dedicated to the death of others, because history, circumstance, and the rest of eve have driven then to do so (except TPS, who are just cool ass pirates ). |

Well, the words Hell No! come to mind. Why should someone get the reward that not all of us doing these crappy agent missions are trying for without making the effort.
Why not just have random billion isk give aways. That way those that dont want to do any work have a chance of getting rich with no effort too!

I know this is a difficult concept to follow but give it a try - Put this stuff on the market and let people buy and use it as they can/do/wish to. Change the security rating system back to the way it was and do not tie it in any way shape or form to agents. Take the agents and put them back to what they once were - something for new people to do when they start. Good grief - all you see 90% of the time on the help channel is someone having problems with an agent bugged mission. This makes a lot of sense take the most bugged part of the game and tie everything in the game to it and make everything dependent upon it.
I have never done an agent mission and have no intention of starting now. Please take this very bad idea and back it out before I and several others that I know dump this game. Please do not take that as a threat, it is a simple notification, you have changed the game so dramatically from the game I have been playing since Beta that I will no longer be here playing it.

Edited by: Perera on 22/12/2003 11:24:14 Judging by the new chronicle from the homepage about tech 2, I doubt there's the storyline in motion for NCP drops.
The biggest problem I personally see with agent missions is that for the most part they are dull. The rewards my be greater toward the sharp end of agents so that you finally get access to Research ones through the new standing system, but so what?
I can't help but feel this will work best for larger and/or well organised corps with the manpower for players to do all these missions from those people who have always found agent missions to be their bag, or at least they have the time to go through the chore of repeated courier runs.
These are the players who will produce. The rest of us will just consume. No great shakes there, but...
... I also think the T2BP lottery is flawed on two levels. Firstly the fact that players who have decided to specialise in the sciences now find they need to do agent missions in order to stand the chance to gain a blueprint. Likewise the agent runners without science skills find they need the train them. It's the scientists I feel sorry for the most.
And secondly, a blueprint is a piece of paper (aka electronic datasheet or whatever, right?) So what's the problem with the agent runner saying to the agent, I have a colleague who we can research this with, please can we? Let the standings/RP's count per player for access to the T2BP's exist and be rewarding, for sure, but don't limit BP research to said player's particular science skills. The game mechanics don't exist for this, obviously, but it sounds logical and much, much, much more interactive and involving to me. Also, this way, it broadens the scope for the BP's rewards to occur, simply through player interaction and relationships. Although I must admit that, whatever BP's are granted still seem entirely down to a CCP algorhithm.
I've rambled a bit, I'm only going by my own knowledge of the whole agent game now. Correct me if I'm wrong.
