While the voice threads are largely (though decreasingly) home of noob flames and brain-hurtingly bad arguments, if people don't discuss important current Eve things on this forum, what are they going to discuss?

If people are all worked up over stuff then it's not going to be very civil, but as before, if that is what is on the minds of the people, what else will they talk about?
This is why there is always a dozen threads about the topic of the day. It's people discussing, flaming, asking. Right now it's Vivox. Join in the threads or don't. Within a day or 2 they'll be gone.
There's always a 'stop posting about <whatever>' thread or 2 as well.

well, sometimes people rather like to take their most burning subjects to the forum instead of writing a personal mail to ccp that they know have less than 1% chance of being viewed
however:
Let's leave the EVE-Voice subject.
Noone is forcing you to use it.
If people dont like it, dont subscribe and it will eventually be thrown in the bin. Problem solved.

:) I dont think anybody is worked up. I personaly find when people start to fling phrases or words such as "noobs" about the conversation degrades.
And your right If something new has happened people will talk about it, it kinda goes without saying.
I think the annoucement of the 30day trial has resulted in people wanting to disscuss it. And your perfectly right, it is the norm. Also most of the threads will be gone within two days.
That too goes without saying.
