So i just came back after about a year long break, wasn't too experienced of a player before i quit. I joined a corp way back when that moved me out to null, where i have my rattle and a stratios and basically just did ratting and some PvP.
Anyways, upon logging in again after all this time, my old corp seems to no longer exist, or at the very least they no longer inhabit space anywhere close where i'm at anymore as my docked station is now controlled by goonswarm. My problem is... alone... i have zero clue how to get these two ships out of null without a spotter or a transport. I'm not very rich so selling the rattle/stratios and trying to re-buy them in high sec isn't really an option for me at the moment and i'd like to avoid it if at all possible as i've had these two ships for a really long time.
any help would be appreciated, if not, ohh well. o/ |

CCP will move 1 ship in this specific scenario (returning player in Null Sec where occupation has changed).
Decide which ship you are more attached to, sell the other, and then open a ticket. |

You can try to contact locals to move it. Just do not blindly trust anyone and make courier contract with proper collateral. It might work. Or not.

Everything in that ships inventory is moved, so I'd pack the rattlesnake with as much high value items as possible and sell the rest. |

The chances of you getting out of hostile space in a battleship are slim to none. Both you and the scout will probably get blown up. Try setting up a contract with a reasonable price and someone will take it off your hands eventually. Move and rebuild.

Decide which ship you are more attached to, sell the other, and then open a ticket. Wow. That's really interesting. I didn't know that. Would that still apply if you had a freighter in null?

If they will move one ship Id move the rattle and leave in the cloaky strat myself. Especially if you have a mobile depot and a scan prober on it or available you can easily find a WH in the area to get you out.
I have never heard that CCP will move a ship though but if that is the case. Or else sell the rattle and leave in the strat. Either way.
Have you heard anything I've said?
You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?
That's right.
Had to end sometime.

It's up to the GM's discretion, and I understand that they look very poorly on people trying to abuse it.
So, like if you unsub your hauler for a couple of weeks in order to try to get a freighter load moved from deep null to Jita, I wouldn't count on it happening.
Moving ships around on the back-end is, obviously, a violation of the general principle that space is big and logistics are hard in New Eden. CPP operates this ship moving program despite that for a very specific reason, and it's exactly because of people like OP. If you used to play, and lived in Null, it sucks to come back and not be able to undock or get your stuff out. So, rather than have people just decide not to come back at all, they offer this very limited ship-moving option.

a too limited moving service. I came back after 2 years absence and had a entire life in null and a super. they had changed the game hugely in my absence including jump mechanics. In the end I stuck it out and got my super out.
That said it took me almost 60 hours of logged in time to get to a point i could start looking actually getting back into the fun parts of EVE! I logged off one day and didn't come back for the next two and probably wouldn't of again if my RL friend had not expressed a wish to do a trial (he didn't after I explained my trepidation about returning and he saw me doing all the logistic crap just to start back) his exact words being "Thats nothing like the trailer"
so yea the new asset safety feature should kick in for 0.0 after your accounts gone inactive and unsubbed for 6 months. That should include titans and super who had no agro timer for the prior 24hours. They should then be returned to the closest lowsec station. And require a 74 hour unpack and preparation time.. Or optionally just resume from where you logged off still of course. And should obviously require a GM to approve it manually after a cursory check for exploitation of the system. |
