When you're mining a gas cloud found at an exploration site, do the clouds deal a particular damage type that can be resisted? Or do they do pure damage that ignores resists?

1. You surely find it out when you are there.
2. If you are not there, why the interest?
I think that anyone who fits a rare module on its ship will tank his ship. You still can try gas-mining in a Tormentor, if you like risk.

I'm wondering whether I can fit this module on a T2 ship and rely on the resists to tank the damage, or if the damage ignores resists, I'd rather use a BS with a large repper.
