Its very easy to prevent a hangover in the first place. By following a simple and effective preventative measure.
Drink at least one pint of water before you go to sleep. Alcohol dehydrates the body during sleep, so the "hangover" is not really anything less than being dehydrated.
I have done this many times and despite sometimes still being tipsy the next day I am none the less feeling ok.

Originally by: defiler I very very rarely get hangovers, I do my best to avoid them completely. Mind you, that's not to say I never get so drunk I can hardly stand up straight...
I sound like you, I can't remember ever having a hangover. Mind you, I've never gotten drunk enough that I can't walk in a staight line and thats after downing over 10 glasses of wine or bout 6 litres of bear (was in europe at the time).
There is a very effective cure for a hangover though. It will get all the poisons in your body and get them all into a beaker. It does however have side effects.
The main one of these being that you end up in a slightly larger beaker next to it.

Not every time, but usually.
I'm a lightweight though, the line between drunk and throwing up drunk is a pretty thin one for me when it comes to hard liquor.

No wonder this makes you feel better it contains Ethanol (which is pure 100% chemical alcohol) which just gets drunk again. Hence no hangover as the new alcohol has to be broken down before the old alcohol, a side affect from the liver breaking the alcohol down is to produce toxin's which go back into the blood stream and make you feel like kaka poo. Drinking more alcohol just makes you delay the inevitable. I have seriously killed my liver over the years, i am only 24 now and if i drink (i drink until i pass out) i then have a hangover thats last 2 - 3 days it is horrible, i don't suggest ever getting to this stage of rubbish broken liver. The dialisis machine beckons....

I'm 22 and my kidneys are messed up already. Though last night was first night out drinking ive had for two weeks and i feel ok, no back pains. Although i'm actually falling asleep as i type and move my mouse. It's well wierd, i nod off for like a minute, wake up and find i've deleted part of a drawing in my sleep....spooky

Crikey i have never experienced anything like that vegetto! But i do suffer from the old back pains, where your kideny/liver are located. I have also found that that area burns up and to touch feels like i have been leaning on a radiator!?

Mine don't hurt to touch, but feel like they are sticking out my back sometimes, they usually throb alot. It's just a case of i can't do two drinking sessions back to back anymore it seems. Whats wierd though is they seem to be stronger, i don't get hangover's...
