Ok, well I live in drone space currently, but have lived in several other regions. When looting it is common in a Raven to shoot your wrecks/cans due to the tractor beams needing lock. However, i never much cared until i got to drone space and when you shoot a can, you just killed 100% of your rat. You get no bounty to make it ok, that was the bounty. So I propose a "feature" of the tractor beam: *When active on a can/wreck, no other modules may be active on the wreck other then a salvager.*
This would stop people from killing cans on accident, and give me far less headachs knowing i just blew up 4-10mil. -Venix Ni4Ni |

doesnt matter how much attention you pay, 3-4 hours of ratting will make you kill a can sometime with 2 tractor beams and torps. Ni4Ni |

Er, no - the entire point of paying attention is that you hit the right button instead of the wrong one.
If tractors somehow auto-fired torps you may have an argument, but they don't. -- 一遍、死んで見る? |

That would be nice, because fingers DO slip, despite having full control.
Back in december I wanted to salvage a wreck in an asteroid belt, but I accidently hit a weapon key instead of the salvager. While the wreck wasn't destroyed, CONCORD came swiftly and converted my ship into a wreck. ----- http://games.chruker.dk/eve_online ----- Top 3 wishes: 1: No daily downtime. 2: Updated dump of the database. 3: An update of the ingame browser, to fix ex: slow tables. |

Fortunately, the design ethos in Eve has never been centred around protecting the user from themselves. This is why you won't get a magic feature that stops you making mistakes when you slip up, just like you won't get your stuff back if you get scammed and petition a GM.

agreed. maybe its the way you have your raven set up. put the trac beams on the end of the setup away from the nasty torps. ---

If you take the tractor out of the high slot area, then it becomes a LOT harder to F1-F6...F7 it. Move it down near the lows, use the mouse to activate, so it's a completely different motion you're using for "fire" vs. "Loot Collection"
