Heya Folks,
Just wanted to invite whomever wishes to come to a chat channel I created for g ay, l esbian, bisexual, transgender and straight allies. It's a fun place; we chat a lot and kid around. Its always nice to see a new face and get to know someone new. We've got a good following so far, but more people would be nice. If you want to join, just do a search in the channels for "GLBTA" or send me a eve-mail in-game and I'll invite you next time I see you online. Thanks.

Even though your intentions may be very good with this i have several recommendations i can make to prevent the more serieus issues.
- Because the channel is a sensitive type of channel as it has to do with personall prefferences for gender it is best to manage it on a invite base only (otherwise you will get the unfortunate bashing that always happens on these topics). - Make the channel list hidden so only those that speak in the main window are shown but there will not be any names because im very sure some of the people are very tight about that aswell. - Additionally i suggest maintaining an harsh policy against anyone who serieusly discriminates (an lockout from channel if they allready accessed it with a report to ccp so they can keep an eye on it aswell as they don't condone any discrimination).
Asside of the unfortunate issues you may have to deal with i wish you the best of luck.

Good luck Nealla, you'll need it. Thommy offers some good advice.

So a channel that is for everyone?
You could call it Local. _________________________ ~Thor Xian, Star Commander |

We've been oporating for several months with only one very minor problem. The person was quickly reported and blocked from the channel. I know how to handle people like that. It's open to all and all are welcome, until they go too far. And it's a general rule, we don't hide who we are, even in a chat channel on EVE. But thanks for the advice.
