I could have sworn there was a post saying that CCP did not distribute the rare minerals properly in the latest patch. SOmething about entire regions being empty when they should have been populated with bistot, arkonor, etc. Can someone point me in the right direction? or even paraphrase what it said?
Thanks

Yeah, didn't CCP tell us they are putting ark in 1.0 areas too? I don't remember...
Maybe you should search farther down or near planets or gas clouds now...you might be surprised.

The ores are distributed properly, only problem was that the pirate difficulty was disproportionate to ore value.
The two have been brought more into line (no more 85k cruiser pirates guarding kernite in a 0.3) but a little tweaking still remains to be made.
I LOVE the new ore distribution. ------------ Ezra Cornell pe0n, Xanadu Corporation |

lol Ezra, of course you love the new ore distribution. Same reason why I love it too. Its everywhere in Fountain and the other 0.0 regions.

Then you must be where there is some there are whole regions of 0.0 space that have none but do have 20 + pirates guarding them go into belts highest ore there Kernite 17 pirates spawn in all between 55k and 85k pirates again you got lucky we got screwed good for you.
Or you are one of the PKer's who this patch was made to help, There's no way the DEV's can say otherwise this is the 2nd patch that 90% of my modules got nerfed. The only ones not hurt that bad were the people that had the very top modules IE PKer's or mega corps. I had 7 modules gave 5mil for them now they are worthless. The basics are just as good.
so whine sure that's what you are doing because everyone is not patting you on the back for being luck and not getting screwed by this patch.

Edited by: Ezra on 23/12/2003 02:49:18 We have just as many cases of systems with crap ore guarded by uber pirates. YZ-LQL is one of these systems - The spawns are insane but the ore is crap. Pretty much any system with a station or near a station got "nerfed" in this manner. (CCP has admitted that the pirate spawns in those systems are a bit screwy.)
But after some SERIOUS scouting (Our scouts have put 10+ hours of work into scouting) we've found some belts that have insanely good ore. Still extremely tough pirates, but the risk/reward is much more sensible. We average 2-3 guards chaining the rats and the rest are miners. ------------ Ezra Cornell pe0n, Xanadu Corporation |
