Would this be a good idea? or pointless? would it be too uber or too weak? The reason why i'm asking is cuz all the turret users have 2 cap ship types (for instance dual 1000mm railgun I and ion siege blaster cannon I) but missile users only have citadel torps?
Please atleast try to keep it constructive Resized tag... again... hope this pleases the tag ninjas from ccp... again :p

i have thought about that before. seems very odd that they didn't introduce them. i guess there must have been a reason. maybe they just forgot

well i just realized there must be some point to them.
Anways why would someone take siege rails over siege blasters? Rails have longer range then blasters i guess? But blasters do more damage? Mebbe do the same for citadels and siege cruise, citadels are the big sluggers but siege cruise are faster and longer range? (like it is now with standard cm and torps) Resized tag... again... hope this pleases the tag ninjas from ccp... again :p

If Citadel Cruise were released, people would whine and cry that the Phoenix is way too good against Battleships and other ships due to them.
They'd be completely ignoring the 1000DPS you get from Moros heavy drones, but they'd still whine about it. I'd like to see them though. Dreads in general need to get bigger and badder though. You're suppose to get a dread if you want pure pwnage and damage, but Carriers are much more useful (and can tank a POS), Motherships wouldn't be a far comparison though, simply because they're supercapitals.
Perhaps we need a second teir of dreads, and XL POS towers, and seige turrets for POS defense.

Never thought about that, but it makes alot of sense. (Screw the phoenix being overpowered, exactly what you said, look at the moros.) --

It would be awsome to see large missiles slowly plowing acorss the grid to hit something.

Rails are much better because of their range, you get around 60km opt+ 25-30k falloff with AM in rails, but only 7.5km+25-30km falloff with blasters, meaning while the extra dps is nice, youre going to be way out of range of a large tower.

It always puzzled me why it takes the range to the tower and not the range to the shield, after all you're not actually shooting the tower but rather the shield which is a 30km bubble around that tower. sitting right at the edge of the shield should be point blank range and not 30km.

Because then they would have to rebalance it against everyone using 5km range ammo.. instead of now, the larger the tower the longer range ammo you need.

blasters with tungsten >> rails with AM on moros. They use far less cap too.

Perhaps, but right now a moros pilot uses rails with antimatter against medium and large towers. Ion siege blasters are not very suited to strike against those because of range issues. IIRC the rails do more dps with AM then the blasters do with suitably ranged ammo.
