Ok im annoyed, i rarely flame but feel obliged.
I know this has been written before too.
Im not bothered about cash in this game, im also not bothered about what ships i fly. My main objective was to get to 10 security rating. I was so close, reaching 9.1 (if only i hadnt have blown up 3 civilians in empire space way back,sigh (they were ore thieves and deserved it btw))
Anyway, get to 9.1, then new patch knocks me down to 4.5. Gutted, OK , but i can handle thats as everyone else has halved.
But now, to see my sec rating slowly diminishing is, tbh, very very disappointing. Im now 4.3 and getting lower.
I cant npc hunt to increase my sec rating as this has been nerfed alongside the npc spawns.
I dont get a security rating increase if i kill player pirates even though i think i should.
I point blank refuse to do agent missions as they are so boring.
So now as a anti-pirate hunter im thinking why bother.
Im considering either leaving the game ot thinking -feck it, i might as well be a pirate if my rating drops further, i got nothing to lose.
I was dedicated (annoyingly) to this game, but seeing something i worked so hard for disappearing is very very very gutting.
(any pirate corps recruiting btw?)

Since the new thread your security rating will drop 5% a week, Papa Smurf is looking into it allready.
He has said that in our Mission section, and there allready was a thread in General where someone asked the same question.

I will leave EVE (again) if I have to watch all my hard earned ratings with factions, corporations and agents go down fast for NO OBVIOUS REASON.
Halving all the ratings was a slap in the face but making it impossible to even raise them, that just nullifies the reason for having ratings.
I'll gladly knock on CCP's door, ask for Papa Smurf and hand him my EVE jewel case and say "nice work" {sarcastically} unless this is fixed.

It's actually quite a bit easier to raise security rating via combat than it was before.

Very funny I've been killing pirates in 0.0 space and guess what my security rating is going down as well like I've said before this Patch was put in for the PKer's no wonder they like it everything they do works even better while the hard working miners and builder's get screwed again. Why not just take out the mining and building aspects of the game they are now just a farce.

The complete failure to raise security rating, either through missions or by killing NPC rats, is a bug. It's not meant to be that way.
The changes were deliberately designed to make it impossible to reach 10.0 in any standing, so if that was your aim, you need a new one. The scale is now logarithmic, and 10.0 is the asymptote. As you approach it, you need to work harder and harder for a smaller and smaller gain, and it rapidly becomes impossible even to stay where you are, much less get any nearer.
Given that 10.0 security rating effectively means that Concord think you are God, and that nothing you do could possibly be wrong by definition; given that a 10.0 standing with the Amarrians would mean that you were the Emperor; it seems a reasonable system.
