Ok...you can't seem to get it that everyone opposing your project is doing it for your own good. You see, no capitals are allowed in high-sec space from capsuleers, and it is true that the Federation Navy is in fact the second most powerful imperial armada in the galaxy. The entire Caldari Navy could not hope to bring about the downfall of the Federation; only themselves. You will shame the State by attempting a foolish feat that is unaccomplishable. Anyway, how are you going to conquer a planet? You cannot gain sovereignty in high-security space anyway, right?
Oh, another thing. Just to remind you, Gallente Prime is in the same system. Next door neighbors. Don't you think that the Federation will see your attempts as a danger to their own homeworld?

Edited by: Katrina Kirellii on 02/05/2007 14:40:15 Katrina sorts through the communications list and tries to gather herself. Several things are from the Alliance leadership and require her attention. She stops and looks out the window at Caldari Prime and wonders whether the restoration of the Caldari Shipyards will ever occur. The monument to the war irks her as she glances in it's direction and she is glad it is not visible from her viewport in her quarters.
Mira enters last and sets a glass of tea down on the conference table. With Mira here, the meeting can start.
Katrina clears her throat and looks around the table. Most corp members are of course Caldari, yet some are Gallente. No Minmatar nor Amarr have joined her cause - yet.
"Okay... Thanks for everyone showing up for the board meeting. We have accomplished many things over the past year. Some of them like closing down the booster sales in Balle were very well done indeed. Others like the destroyed cargo on some of the escort runs was not very good form and the Sisterhood seems untrustful now. However, we have had a large turnaround in our fortunes since Del was sent to the recycler for her water content.
Mira - do you have anything to report? (Mira slides a financial spreadsheet with lots of information across and merely nods.) Okay - everything looks fine. (Katrina pauses as she thought maybe Mira might have switched tea with her. She lifts her glass and only pretends to sip some just in case. Her eyes glance at the notation about the Caldari Tax Officials wanting to talk about tax avoidance issues. Katrina feels her Lai Dai connections pressuring her from afar.)
It has come to my attention that other corporations are looking to take back Caldari Prime again. I am wondering what everyone here thinks about that idea. Noting an odd expression in an otherwise stonelike group at the table, she motions for the guards who quickly remove a screaming new member (Buck I think was his name) from the table. Everyone else calmly watches and leaves such thoughts firmly in Katrina's hands.
Katrina looks around - yes - no others have even an opinion they would like to voice on the matter. They all have their own business ventures that don't conflict with the corporation goals. Then again, their battleships have not shown up often to assist either. No matter.
(Katrina stands and wanders over to the wall with a view of Caldari Prime slowly spinning below... She turns back to the room at large...)
Well the Escorts of Eve have made some promises which we will keep. The Federation and the President allow us to headquarters here above the ancestral home of the Caldari. We must keep our end of the bargain too and not cause overt trouble. If CONCORD did not exist, then things would be different, but our losses in testing CONCORD's resolve cannot be ignored.
We must seek a peaceful solution and turn our attention to the Amarr and the aliens who jerk us like puppets from afar into war. The Jovians are probably a greater threat than anyone admits. May their race die out soon and their women be born sterile even considering all that they have shared with us in the past.
(Katrina turns back to the window...)
Okay everyone - meeting ajourned - will everyone but Mira please leave the room.
(After some muted noises everyone leaves and only talk once they are completely out of earshot and the door to the room closes...)
Mira, two things come to mind. We must make sure our Mercantile Club membership does not run out. Also, the station seems to have provided me with some poorly made tea and I would prefer if you taste it from now on before me to assure it is sweet enough. You may go now..."
Mira slowly rises, bows, and backs out of the room without taking her eyes off of Katrina's hand which hovers over an ancient small calibre projectile pistol on a side table. The message is clear.
Katrina sits down and composes a regret letter...

Either way, I look forward to seeing your taskforce on the battlefield.

It would make much more sense to simply perform hit-and-run, massive bombardment, attacks on Gallente Prime and reduce it to smoldering ruins as the Gallente once tried (and virtually accomplished) on Caldari Prime. Once they have been sufficiently demoralized, we Caldari, the true leaders of the world of Eve, will indifferently except the return of Caldari Prime as terms of peace.
ooc: It will be interesting to see if it is possible to affect sovereignty once the Empire warfare has been upgraded. If so, I forsee a massive all-out Caldari/Gallente war sparking the minute the servers come back up after the patch in which it is released.

I have a very strong support for the mission to which several people have commited them selfs (Pardon the spelling) Though I do agree with Haradgrim smashing Gallente Prime seems a much more....Practical idea, and yes I forsee a very large empire/empires war starting soon after they release the patch, with caldari and Gallentes going at each other violently, though if I do say so my self the caldari will most likely win as nearly 50% of eve is caldari :)

That didn't seem to affect Russia in either of their world wars...
Much as I'd love to have another fight over a useless rock like the British and Spanish did in 1782, I'd rather take something useful from the Gallente and assign the pride of victory to that, instead.
But heck, I'm sure many caldarians would shoot a gallente just for fun. Put a historically significant rock up for the winner... you've got a tense situation, there.

You can not have Caldari Prime back. Even if you bring the scummy Amarrs you will not succeed. We will destroy your pathetic fleets and then expand our borders and you will have less than what you have now.

Humm, I think that us Gallente did wrong the caldari by trying to force them to stay with in our power, I mean our race is suposed to be all about freedom and stuff yet we almost tried to do with the caldari what the amarrs do to the minmatarr, I don't know if they should have there homeworld back as its too close to ours but the Gallente state should offer something else maybe....

We should offer plenty of antimatter rounds and have our Ogre drones to decorate their ships. And bring the nice and crispy golden ships too, the Minmatar Republic will have a word to say in that matter also.
As for forcing we did nothing of the sort, diferent positions between the Caldari Board and the Gallentean Government regarding the ways of the federation lead to that unfortunate turn of events.
New times are in front of us, it is time for the Caldari to let go of their old grudges. _______________________

Okay... 1) The Caldari State is much smaller in both size, and population than the Federation. Why would they try to expand. 2) The Minmatar would come to the aid of the Gallente if there ever was a Amarr + Caldari interference. 3) Oh... last I heard, the State had some internal problems a) Gaming commision tax fraud, b) a caldari recession due to a economic power-house[ Gallente ] going thru a major Boom (whos mighty now?) and c) Contstand mistrust between the mega-corps and well as the Directorate. 4) Although the state seems hi-tech and mighty, working in the caldari economic system leaves billions of people earning standard wages with no hope of progression. Although this would be good for robots, I believe human nature will not allow it ( take the USSR for example) 5) Many of the Caldari Navy pilots are defecting to the Guristas, Why? Better pay, a chance to suceed, and well more fun 6) If the Caldari navy ever tried to get to Luminaire one of three things would happen: a) All the caldari pilots would go to jita at the same time to get Missles and the entire regional stargate system would overload and turn off (trapt) b) the Gallente Navy would whoop your raggedy A$$ fleet {HORAH!}+ home turf advatage c) the Caldari would land on "caldari prime" to find it completely populated with Gallente who have been living there for um... 100 years...and then get PWNed by the Gallente fleet.( Moros with dread lvl 5 = 25 domis ^^) d) an interraccial war would spark with GAL + MIN vs AMR + CAL.... um yeah I think we all know who would win that one.
So yeah... LONG LIVE THE FEDERATION and Ill keep killing all you n00b caldaris who are looking for the <I Win> button. I hid it you will never find it.
Also while im on my soap box...
SINCE WHEN DID THE SMALLEST EMPIRE (CALDARI STATE) HAVE ALMOST 45% OF ALL CAHARCTERS!!!???

All I can say is factional warfare.
Oh, and I don't plan on taking part. I like being able to trade anywhere. Watching all this go on in empire will be quite exhilarating though.
Always remember Admiral Tovil-Toba and the greatest sacrifice any Caldari could make for his people. The Gallente-Caldari war brought both empires to their knees. Life became the hell after death for both societies. This is why they called a cease fire. Peace for the Caldari is much more profitable, and peace for the Gallente makes them much happier. ____________________________________________________________________]

People there is no need to squabble over Caldari prime, it is unseemly.
Besides, what has been said about the Gallente Government going through a boom is not entirely true, there are in fact several areas of the budget stretched very thinly indeed at the moment.
Because of this, I have been approached by a gentleman representing the Gallente Government, his name I shall keep to myself, with a view to selling off several non productive assets.
It is possible that, for a one time payment of 50 billion ISK to my account, we could procure the deeds to Caldari Prime.
I realize that this is a not insignificant sum of money, and could be out of reach, but for those of more moderate means, I also have a nice bridge on Gallente Prime which can be yours for just 5 Mil ISK...
