anybody ever tryed? i just saw it on the stats that it could be invented, though they dont have a variation (at least not in the stats) anybody know the outcome? if its not a faction BS, i speculate it should have the T2 banner on it, and ive never seen a T2 BS, even less a tier 3 T2 BS... i hope to get some answears, im actualy thinking about buying a bpo and trying it out.
Usualy though theres always great rumouring around before new ships arive, and their stats (or development status) are usualy well definied and easily found, yet i have not heard a single whisper of a T2 BS. Is it possible that it is not inventable even though it says on the stats? or are there sum of you out there already trying to get the Uber ship???

Do you live in a hole or something? No flame intended
Tier 1: Typhoon Armageddon Scorpion Dominix
Tier 2: Tempest Apocalypse Raven Megathron
Tier 3: Maelstrom Abbadon Rokh Hyperion
for T2 BSs.... I think those are Dreadnaughts ><

as stated many many times, you cannot invent a module or ship that doesn't have a T2 variant. No variant, no T2 BS, as simple as that.

Dude lay of the smack!
There are indeed no Tech 2 BS, but dreadnoughts are not even close to T2 BS! They are tech 1 capital ships. BS5 as prereq doesn't mean they have anything connected to a BS, and certainly not with T2...

I believe he is referring to the fact that battleships (and the tier 2 BC's) now have invention tabs with a interface and 2 datacore requirements indicating that they can be used to invent something.
We all know just how accurate item descriptions and info's are so i'd expect to see some sort of error message if you try to run an invention job on it. Invention only yields t2 items so if we dont have a t2 variant i'd definitly expect an error messange.
Anyone try to run one yet just to see?

When I said that Dreads where a T2 variant of BSs... I was being sarcastic in a way. Dreads are like BSs because they are the only Cap ship, besides the Titans, that can equip guns. The only thing that the Carrier or Mothership is good for is for POS recharging or Drone Control Units. Among other things. but those 2 uses are the primary uses for a Carrier. I am not including Carrier Runs in that mix.
Because T2 variant ships are stronger then their T1 counterparts. I was simply implying that Dreads are stronger then BSs, and that I was saying they were T2 because of that. Not because they are T2 and that they could be invented.

Edited by: Emperor D''Hoffryn on 27/03/2007 20:22:10 some ground work has already been dont on T2 BSes....theres a video somewhere showing them in game(not on TQ mind you, just rendered and flying around on a test server somewhere)....some nice model changes.
they have placeholder stats in the DB as well.
id imagine the invention tabs are placeholders as well. remember....ccp is getting rid of the lottery. By the time T2 BS come in...you will only be able to get them by invention. Looks like CCP is prepared for once.
