Posted - 2007.03.26 23:48:00 - [1] When Syncore shut down in January, I as ceo found myself sitting on billions and billions in assets (business assets and warchest), as well as a fully trained ceo toon that had been handed down to me. As far as I was concerned it wasn't my stuff and I couldn't in any conscience liquidate it or use it to my personal advantage. A full set of researched bpos along with a toon to drive them in my mind are virtually priceless, so breaking it up wasn't an option, nor was leaving it all dormant for 'someday' at all attractive. So, I converted the corp from a collective to a business with shared ownership amongst corp members. After liquidating the warchest, I set up an ongoing business plan to provide ex-members with a fair amount of monthly income. I'd like to hear a sampling of experiences regarding what other corps with significant (perhaps 10bil minimum) assets have done. I would prefer first-hand knowledge, and try really hard please to not call anyone a thief in cases where leadership took assets in a different direction as opposed to buying a pimped out Caldari Navy Raven. When a corp taxes its members to hell to accumulate power, how much of a crap shoot is it whether the membership gets far more value back than putting in as opposed to them getting the shaft?

He didn't specify how it was handed down to him, so it could either be the account or the character through a transfer. Since he specified 'toon' instead of 'account' in both places, the second seems more likely. -------------- In completely unrelated news, after careful research, the Guiding Hand Social Club concludes that no member of the Guiding Hand Social Club is guilty of corptheft.
