Attempting to Log into Eve today have had no problems for a while. The Launcher will no go past the white screen and load to the rest. And fixes for this or any Idea's to help resolve the problem? |

Encountered the same issue. In my case this was related to failed update due to lack of free disk space.
Possible solutions:
- allocate more disk space to eve
- updated wine from 1.9.3 to wine 1.9.19
- start using this launcher instead of the old one
Not sure which from the above did the trick. If nothing else helps consider deleting game's cache. |

I to am having the same issue of a white screen I am still running windos XP 32 bit but I was in game last night with no problems and this morening and all day so far I have been unable to log into game can someone explain as to what is wrong and don't give me that BS about my OS being out of date ok I have heard enough crap ok, I will be upgrading before the end of the year I just need to get back into game asap. |

Moreover the install for the new launcher doesn-Št work. as the:
- EveLauncher-1089859.exe
- EveLauncher-1086194.exe
- EveLauncher-1069348.exe
- EveLauncher-1045952.exe
... simply won-Št start ...
Even tough I was happy with the old launcher ...

Folks, you need to specify more details to get help.
- What OS are you running EVE on?
- Did you see anything in logs and can we see that error, if you did?
- Are you using latest launcher? ( https://support.eveonline.com/hc/en-us/articles/202664365-The-EVE-Launcher )
I did not need to download the new launcher from anywhere. Merely found a new executable of the launcher in EVE directory. What I did run into was some certificate errors along the way.
I also tried running the launcher with "-d" parameter. That disabled the UI.
After new launcher finished its updates and certificate error spam it started to work and looks like the screenshot in the above link. From what I can tell the old launcher is probably deprecated. |

3)I was using the old launcher, not the new one....
But I guess people using the ld launcher will be forcefully pushed toward the new although that one does not even work the way it has to be...and never will...
Started game last night on new launcher , the migration killed all my settings, and the game runs like **** under Wine (and I am using the exact same settings for graphics as I did before)...Experiencing lag in empty space etc....just stupid...
Plz fix ALL launchers!!!

Daniel Blackfoot, i'd tried to run the downloaded new launcher three times since may, it makes a little active wheel appear, then nothing.
After i read your post i looked at its properties and security notification down the bottom said it was from another computer and blocked.
Unblocked it, got new launcher working on Vista 07, moved the old settings over and hey bapzooper! New launcher and muh spaecships are now running fine.
Was planning to bite the bullet and buy a new machine tomorrow too.
Issue resolved, thanx for everything guise.

Did not get the old launcher running ...
... but the new one installed. As Chopper Rollins wrote, I had to change safety settings from the "launcher install exe". Then I had to import the old setting which is a bit tricky to find in the new launcher. The new launcher works now ... White Screen was painfull ... |

last known time it worked 10-27-2016 PDT before downtime (for me thats 4 in the morning).

last known time it worked 10-28-2016 between 11am-1pm PDT. tried to log in other account instant white screen so roughly around 15:00-18:00ish game time.
did the windows environmental variables on both computers. no change.
cannot upload new launcher on computer 1. have seen no need to upload new launcher on computer 2.
I find it strange that the 2nd computer was able to log in one account before the problem showed up and now cannot log in any accounts. |

Without internet connection launcher starts normally, but of course in offline mode.
Looks like problem arises when launcher try to connect to server.

Had the same problem using steam.
Verifying integrity of game cache helped the problem (from properties - local files).
Launcher looks totally different now though.
I'll let you know here if the new launcher stops updating or something, but looks like it's working. |

I removed the game, downloaded newest version - nothing work, result the same.
Win 10, video card Radeon Fury, aprox 175 Gb free on SSD disk after installing launcher
This is not first time, i very often have this bug, but sometimes (like today) i have this bug constantly, PC restart does not help. |

In the event you can;t use the new launcher to launch the game and run into an issue, file a bug report with your system information so that the team behind the launcher can use that info to help you out. It's the best way to get people back in game. Thanks!

Not talking about the new launcher dude, i'm talking about the launcher for windows XP, 32 bit, the (QT_OPENGL) does not work in this matter it's something CCP did in a update i'm now 4 days unable to log into eve.
what can you do or what can be done to fix this issue?
I have already submitted 2 support tickets with no reply. I'm starting to get a lil pissed off that y'all haven't done anything yet to fix this problem. |

Calm down, dude. They just dropped us. They say that there is only 0.3% Win XP users in EVE in september this year. So they will loose nothing if we are gone. |

Looks like we're a pretty loud 0.3% as quite a few of the posts in this thread are from angry XP 32bit users like myself that still have yet to hear ANYTHING WHATSOEVER from CCP regarding some sort of fix or fu or anything concerning this matter for our aging and no longer supported OS which, conveniently, can't run the new launcher either... :( |

There was definite date for old launcher end of support - 30 June.
CCP warned players three times:

What worked for my Steam edition on Windows 7 was to first run rescache.exe from the game directory (which had to download over 4 GB of missing files), then I ran the Steam integrity check (downloaded another ~40 MB). The launcher worked and was brand new after these two steps. |

I have the same issue in Windows 7 pro. Launcher give white screen, and new Launcher wont run under Win32. I cant upgrade to 64 bit because I lose everything. This is really gonna suck if they just throw paying players away like this.

Any news about fixing this bug?
Because i have tried allready:
1. Reinstal launcher few times
2. Changed something about QT_OPEN GL (or something like that)
3. Delete and restore later folder with launcher's setings
4. Router updated
5. Drivers updated
Result - White screen with "Couldn't get GUI version info. Unable to write"
This damn white screen allows to enter the game after attempts within 30 or 50 or 80 or... minutes, but as soon i close it, i will start this from begining.
I am very far from Guru status in sphere of PC hardware and soft, but i have problems only with that launcher on my PC.
CCP, fix this please

Well It actually worked till about a week ago...so thats 3 months after that date. CCP just simply did a patch and the note said > All moved to Wine....It doesn't even work properly for a lot of users....Hope it gets fixed soon... |

CCP even gave you 3 additional months for smooth transition from WinXP and old launcher, and still no one got a hint.
"All moved to Wine" - that news piece was related only to the new launcher, the one and only launcher for EVE after June 30. Moreover it was related only to MacOS system.

When I was installing EvE on Linux I have encountered this very same issue. After some searching and wine tweaking I have managed to successfully solve it and record the procedure.

This got me from white screen in launcher to blue screen xD (I am not kidding). Once the blue screen was presented with about 5 certificate errors I knew I was on the right track. At this point some of you might not see the blue screen and it will depend on whether you set the QT_OPENGL variable before or not. I had it set to value "angle" from my previous tests and once I deleted this environment variable the launcher started working properly.
Certificate errors did not go away but if you know what you are doing and want to suppress all certificate warnings you can go to EvE launcher settings (in the upper right hand corner of the launcher) and start ignoring them automatically.
In the end here is what my wine setup ended up looking like:
wine v1.9.23
wine settings => Windows XP
wine library overrides => http://pichoster.net/7ae winetricks / playonlinux components => d3dx9_36, drdx9_43, d3dx11 (but disabled in overrides), Microsoft Core Fonts / corefonts, several versions of vcrun
no QT_OPENGL environment variable set
eve launcher settings => http://pichoster.net/7an (however these are not important)
NOTE: I think you just need latest d3dx9 (e.g. drdx9_43), core fonts and vcrun2013 components
On another note I ran into following post from CCP Snorlax which is what I would try next time instead of the longer procedure above.

I just wanted to add to this as i had this problem over the holiday. I pretty much have spent the last few days fixing this rather than enjoying the game..
What i finally did was delete everything including this, https://support.eveonline.com/hc/en-us/articles/203613081-Clearing-client-settings-and-the-client-side-cache-data?flash_digest=dd12f5d516b7862b67f70a8f8e5b9b531aba0a52
and then reloading thru steam. Not sure if the steam step was necessary but after days of just doing all the other things this finally worked and is still working after multiple logins rather than working one time and then getting the whiteout.
good luck to you all having this issue, hope it works for you as well. not sure what the problem is but days fixing things i pay for is not what im into
some official fix would be better than having to sort it out on our time. just my 2 cents.
