Number one, half of you are hyporcits who admire (and do) scaming. A full quarter of who are left, if my year or so in eve is a good indicator, have actually stolen from corps with alts.
Yet you remain critical of someone stealing from Snowy. I'll stick by my guns here, though. The issue is not whether corp theivery in the abstract is acceptable or no... the issue is whether the original poster justified in stealing from Snowy.
There are never, and I repeat, never universals with which we can cast down judgments. For instance, murder in one context might be wrong, but right in another context (self-defence.)
Having said that, if the OP is not lying to us, there are certainly cirumstances that I believe not only mitigate any wrong doing on hist part, but actually justify it.
The bottom line is, if you want people to treat you respectfully, care about you, care about your corp, and give you due consideration, you don't treat them like ****.
Honestly, if you are calling someone in your corp worthless, generally disrespecting them, and yelling at them in real life over Ventrilo, you should EXPECT them to eventually get fed up, and do something that reasonably mimics what was done to them by you.
-Karlemgne
I agree. If he had of stolen everything from GM's hangar i would have said well if he was actually treating u that badly than he deserved it. But the rest of the corp did nothing to deserve that from what i can see.
Seems to me a bit of a childish retaliation without really thinking about who he is putting out. wuality ppl like zwerg
DE
That's the rub. Without being there, and knowing the exact corp dynamic that lead to this corp theivery (and thusly this thread) I'm not really prepared to wag my finger at the OP. In fact, Snowy pilots are generally such a**-hats on the forums, I have no real choice but to believe that all of them had a hand in either treating the OP poorly, or contributing to a general attitude that allows Ginger to treat people poorly.
Either way, the OP is justified. And again, its so ironic, that the same pirates who will laude other pirates for scaming newbs, carebear corps, etc heap scorn on the OP. Especially since I *know* (without naming names) at least one of the people yelling at the OP is an accomplished alt corp theif.

Yeah, probably to some extent. And even if they didn't have any part in it, they also didn't say anything against it, presumably. Probably for fear of GM yelling at them too.

Meh. If you scam newbs, they deserve it. Sending ISK to a random person because he promises to give you something great in return is foolish.
However, if you've got a longtime, trusted corp mate who you have a connection with, and they betray you, that's an entirely different story. At that point it's like "WTF...that came out of nowhere". If you can't trust anyone in Eve, you can't have corpmates with hangar access - but who's going to join a corp if they get nothing in return?
So the idea is to get corpmates you can trust, and to not do something to risk that companionship.
It's a razor-blade line to walk on I guess. GM fell way off by being a ****. ----- :::Need to be cleaned:::

Personally i wouldn't have a go at someone for joining a corp with the intention of stealing from it and actually managing to do it. it's not nothing i personally would do but each to their own. The fact that he is trying to justify it by saying GM was mean to him is what annoys me. If that's the case then take it out on him no some of the others.
And, on the other hand it makes me laugh how ppl here are saying a big 'well done' to the op just because it's snowy and they think "oh we don't like Snowy in eve do we " when they haven't a clue anything about them. I like things about them and dislike things about them myself. But backstabbing friends over something this petty is not something i hold much respect for tbh.

see he was quite obviously wrong there. What he should have said is that you will never get into a respectable well known corp (no offence to ur new corp) and you will never ever get hangar access or trust. But each to their own.

100% agreed, If someone stole ISK of me, and I knew it, I wouldn't be asking, I'd be hauling insults and trying to avoid various measures of hax0ring them and whatever other kinds of pain I could inflict - Here we see Ginger asking and curious as to why he had his corp money amateurishly stolen from him by someone that obviously lacked the simple communication skills to hold out for himself.
Also, you had less than a million? I've been playing this game for 3 days, around 4 hours a day.. I have 92 million.. your doing something wrong mate.

Ginger gave a few of my corp mates a tough time a couple years ago when they were noobs. Fogive me for delighting in watching him wallow in his wanna-be badass persona. I just found it amusing: "I'm the best PVPer in EVE!!!! Gime me my 65 mill back!!!"

Don't get me wrong... I think priacy is a cool part of the game... not a part I indulge in (well not really anyway), but a necessary and exciting part. What Ginger and his boys do doesn't strike me as piracy though. It's griefing. He doesn't look for juicy targets likely to yield big ISK. He doesn't seek out high SP empire players willing to ransom their implants. He camps gates and ganks what he can so he can declare himself the best PVPer in Eve. That's a griefer in my book. But what the hell.... I never see the dude, so I don;t care fro the most part. Besides Privateers have stolen most of his Empire Griefer thunder.
The rest of you pirate types, YARR! on my friends.

Id have to agree with trask..
I liken them to a spider web. They never move, just wait lazyly for something to fly into the net. While it works for a spider, it surely doesn't indicate that the spider is the greatest "hunter" of the bug kingdom.
Luck and time are all that the spider has going for it, same with OS.

That was my whole point in my previous post on this thread (forgive the late arrival I'm out of town.) If you have mistreated, or contributed to the mistreatment of a longtime trusted corpmate, you should expect reciprocity, not a simple "alright guys, it was fun and I'm leaving."
Thus, trusting the OP as speaking truthfully, he is justified in stealing from Snowy.

Not enough reciprocity. It's not like he left in a carrier that wasn't his, blowing up stuff on his way out.

i didn't see him complaining about 64mil isk anywhere. i saw him complaining about the hassle of having to replace all the ammo etc which is a pain and the fact he'd been betrayed etc. as i've said before Ginger acts like an ass on the forums because he loves it but stealing from ppl who are ur friends is kinda lame imo.

First, the fact that Ginger is complaining at all about something as trivial as ammo, is funny. Second, the whole point to my participation on this thread is: If you treat your friends like ****, you constantly debase them, tell them they suck, yell at them on Ventrilo, et cetera you are being "kinda lame." If you do this to your corp mate or allow others in your corp to do this to a corpmate, you should expect that corpmate to respond with like behavior (thus the OPs behavior.)
