I remember when we found Evil Pookie as a young man, face down passed out drunk in a gutter outside a Gallente brothel. We never asked him if he was a customer or resident of the facilities. It didn't seem fitting at the time. I don't know why we did it. But every once in a while a person has to try and do some good in their lifetime. First we had to detox him. All the chemicals that he had put into his body left him scarred, both internally and externally. Other than having to chain him down occasionally he faired well during this period. Next was his schooling. He wasn't illiterate, by no means, but he could only think in terms of how to calculate ISK per gram or if one of his hookers had cheated him. But with diligence and an overriding need to get him going onto a better life we persevered. He finally settled down and found out that we were not trying to kill him but just to love and nurture him. He actually enjoyed the fact that someone wasn't trying to cheat, shoot or hurt him. When we knew he was ready we had him trained to go out to the stars and join us out in space to help us mine. Mine he did. He was good at it and really enjoyed, what some deride, as being a carebear. His time with us was precious and when he made the turn to Burn Eden we wished him well but felt that he wouldn't last long. We felt that he would tire of the killing and maiming of his opponents and that he would return to us. But, unfortunately, having been raised in a hardened environment, the scars he bears, have all contributed to his staying. Maybe we were foolish to try and reform him, but we did have to try. Now to hear he is CEO of Burn Eden ,makes me all tingly. I am going to have to have a few drinks over this and mull all things over. I still wish him well and say, if you ever want to come back to us Evil, you can. You will always have a home with us.

It's kind of strange really, there are people in this game who I consider staunch enemies and, when I hear one or more of their members has migrated to WoW, I actually share in their sense of loss. Shin Ra, don't abandon Eve....don't abandon the nubs!!
