In this current Age of the Castor, times are rapidly changing. The markets upward spiral, and the danger that faces corps even in Empire space from the old school Pirate Corps, means Corps assets are frequently threatened, as are the lives of our haulers and miners. With this in mind, a new force is born.
The core PVP pilots of KIA and the core PVP pilots of RONA have joined together, to form one corp, with no mission other than to defend the assets of both corps with a new ferocity, we hope not yet seen in EVE. As members of the NVA, we also hope this force will once again stand strong alongside our alliance brothers, and defiant of the threat from the beaten but not vanquished Southern Pirate Corps.
The new Corp RONA-KIA (R-K), will be funded by the huge Engine that is RONA, and we stand united with our RONA brothers, in the face of all threats to this corporations lively hood. No more will the CALS of this world stand in piracy against our forces, no more will we allow situations to drag on and ebbing away tactically at the threat. Force will be met with Force.
As many know, KIA and RONA are honourable men and women, and want nothing more than peace in our time, we want nothing more than to be a part of this great universe and find solidarity amongst the dwellers here. But times do not allow for such idealistic wishful thinking, so we move to strike against the foul scum that choose to abandon ways of peace, for tyranny and piracy. We will in the coming weeks, begin a crusade against these killers, and times will see a swing full circle in the domination of empire space, the pirate killers are here, and we know many corps will follow us into battle.
In the meantime, it is a great honour for KIA to link arms with our RONA brethren, we look forward to the many times of great Joy, and the bitter sweet sadness that oversees all life.
KIA is dead, long live Rona-KIA.

Given the time and circumstances we face as a Mega-Corporation and in the universe that is EVE, RONA and now RONA-KIA, have to be on the forefront of not only industry and technology but be able to fight and defend our assets as a corporation. RONA-KIA is the RONA answer to the threats and enemiesÆ larger corporations like RONA begin to face. We will not sit idly by anymore as our assets and our honor is threatened. From now own we will openly and viscously defend, with the financial backing and all of the research and new weapons support of our other subsidiary: our ships, employees, and assets. This will be a golden age for RONA now that we have what are each and every measure to succeed in the EVE Universe.

Congrats guys! In addition to all the other reasons, I'm guessing also that Artegg really wanted to swap the KIA channel for the corp channel ;P

This is a very exciting time for KIA. It gives us a new direction, and access to resources that we could only dream about before.
We already have many friends in RONA, and this move allows us to truely stand as one.

I seriously salute the guys of KIA and I salute the people who stand by and support us. RONA is excited about it's future standing amongst corps like Everlasting Vendetta with a size and now a fighting force equal to the task. This will make the days in Eve enjoyable and fun as we have true comrades in arms. And they are ******* wacko as well

It sounds like you're only merging your PvP divisions to form a new third corp - Why not do a complete merger into one single ingame entity?

Well there are a couple of reasons. The first being hangars when we created our Research adn Development divisions and now our new PVP division we wanted to have more than just the very limited 7 hangars. The second reason is a very usefull and very real promotion path, it creates a sense of accomplishment and a real feeling of movement within a corp, especifally one pushing 270 like ours, and that is important to keeping members happy. There is a clear division in what goes on within RONA and the people that run these corps are RL friends of mine.

On behalf of Oberon-Inc, I would like to express our our deepest congratulations to the fine pilots of Rona and KIA. These courageous men have finally decided to come out of the closet and declare their undying love for each other. Bravery of this magnatude simply cannot be measured . (anyone ever visiting the Rona TS will get this)
Seriously, congrats to a great bunch of guys. This will be a serious force to recognize in the region. Oberon looks forward to working with this new corp just as we have with Rona and KIA in the past.
