So, I logged off 30 mins ago and went and did some stuff around the house. Came back, tried to log on, and my password was incorrect. Tried the lost password thing but my email had been changed. So I then try a petition. No luck. They have all been filled up. I guess that's the person's doing. So I log onto my alt account which I started up yesterday. I'm ingame. My corp mates tell me that I am now in a pod, so I guess he/she is trying to liquidate my assets. I've petitioned it on this character, but I don't know how long it's going to take to get a response.
My characters are Sofia Roseburn, Sasha Vespit and Arvala Ishanoya for anyone who is interested. If you see them, and they do something to you, please bear in mind that it is not me. I just hope that I can get my account back and my assets with it.

i came back from holiday to find all my isk gone (4bn) and most of my ships and expensive stuff traded to another character.
dont panic they will get on it

That sucks, mate... Hopefully you'll get everything back just as you left it.
Haven't happened to me, I thought it had last week though.
I tried to write a post on the forums, login incorrect... Huh? I even used the password that was saved in my browser. Oh well, I tried it four times to be certain, didn't work, so I changed my password. When I tried to get back ingame, I got the account expired message... DOH!

So do they give back all of your assets and things? I'm currently looking at around 500m of assets gone. And I'm staring at the characters logging on and off as well. As well as this, if they are terminated, can I still get them back?

You account was hacked within 30 minutes?
Was there any spyware/3rd-party-software/password-sharing involved?

I honestly have no idea. Logged off and came back 30 mins later. I've spoken to corp mates, and it's obvious that it's not me. Although there is nothing I can do about it apart from get them to kick me from the corp. Which I have done. Regarding password sharing, the answer is no. 3rd party stuff....EveMon. That's it. Oh and the Firefox downtime thing. Both of which have been verified by CCP.

I had it happen to me last year- you probably have a keylogger of some sort on your machine, unless you told someone your a/c password.
They were probably just watching till you logged off (by adding you to their buddy list), then jumped on and changed your password while you were off.
The GMs will act quickly, ask to speak to a senior GM. Expect to be banned for a while while they sort it out. But you will get it sorted, you've let the GMs know.
Good luck with it. You need to deal with how they got your a/c name and p/w in the first place. In my case, I stupidly opened an attachment from an Eve player which contained a keylogger.

my isk had been spent on frieghters that i couldnt fly.
i had the freighters returned to me :/
which i then sold for a loss. but still i got my stuff back.

havent been hacked in EvE ever, lost my Character with 200 days + playtime due too it tho, called the GM's they got it back for me, got banned later that day for account sharing tho, wich i didnt do :/

Did you get unbanned for the account sharing? I mean, different IP's could just be the person testing the access to the account.

I had a corp mate that just got hacked the other day. CCP gave him the finger and said no luck since a legit password was used. He's fighting it ofcourse but still the thought of being told 'tough luck' is ridiculous.

This is getting serious. I'm just hearing of the same stories from an old corpie of mine who seems to be liquidating his own assets. Other old corpies are saying his character's acting like its been hacked.
 Looks like something's up...

"Passwords are the responsibility of the account owner. If a shared password leads to abuse of the account, it is the responsibility of the account owner and customer support cannot reimburse the loss"
How would they know if you had shared?
All I can say is keep records of CCP billing you, what card number/bank account is being used or what GTC's are used if you know the codes. If in the future you get hacked, you will have the only thing you need to prove the account is yours and the access/changing of pass/deletion of chars etc was not with your permission. These are things the hacker can never know unless your entire PC has been opened up and then you've far more serious things to worry about :P

the GM's deal with hacked account queries, the correct thing to do is petition and they will contact you if you need further information
if you have problems petitioning you can use the link on the left as you are not required to login
