Since castor it seems autotargeters (Recousant Hostile) etc. are no longer able to lock missiles, which was theyr main purpose?
Especially sincy you for some 'intelligent'? reason are only able to lock them manually when NOTHING else is locked?!?
even the paranoid has real enemies...

Yes, it seems like the autotargeter is bugged in the Castor uppdate!

It was always intended that missiles could not be targeted. That you could target them manually in some situation or other and through the use of autotargeters is an oversight that I did not hear about until recently.
The change to autotargeters was not intended to remove this ability (especially since I was not aware of it), but rather to clean up their operation and this was a side-effect of that.
I'll ask around about allowing targeting of missiles when I get back from vacation.

well... if autotargeters were not intended for targeting missiles, then I fail to see their use.
Especially since they target not just 'hostile' entities, but asteroids etc.
Basically if they do not provide something you cannot do yourself then they are a useless waste of a slot.
(just my opionion)
Basically what was their intended purpose if not to target, many small 'fastmoving' objects`?
Anyway, have a nice vaction its well deserved. Merry xmas

afaik, "autotargeters" do not auto target, they allow you to have extra targets locked above your skill boundaries.
more importantly tho, passive targeters do not work.
