Hi there.
I'm in this game a while now. One thing that anoyed me since the start was that the longer you are in came the more items you have clattered all over the universe, and its sometimes hard to find out where you left an item. If you were gonna say "just use the search" then I might add: many of the good items are put in (station) containers, and you can't search those. Also you can't search for modules that are fitted on a ship.
This is why I plead: make items that are in containers, fitted on a ship and even items in a container in a ship searchable! Also, being able to search through all corp hangars (where you have access, that is) would come in handy too. Finally, it would be nice to have a sub-folder you can expand for each container in a station in your assets window, so you can look through the iems this way too!
When you have so many items the only option is to categorize them, and the only good way to do that is buy station containers, name them appreopriately and put according items in them.
Thanx for your attention, Morke
P.S.: I'm hoping for many /signed messages!

I agree 100%. If corp hangars are searchable, personal containers should be as well. If game mechanics prevent containers from being searched than please give us item organization akin to corp hangars for individuals. Folders are beter than cans anyway.

I agree that if wrongly implemented this can cause further performance issues.
For instacne it would indeed create too much load if all contianers and ships where searched every time you initiate a search that has a wider range than the current system.
So one would need to limit the conditions under which these are searched, for instance: - if you only search in a station or system - if you individually search for cans first and then do a search within the found cans - if you specify a term to search for (this can be done very fast when using indexes) - a checkbox you have to activate to search within cans or ships
Just some basic ideas to prevent performance issues. This will probably not fit in to the "need for speed" initiative, but maybe the devs could note it as "nice to have" or "future feature".
As no many have responded, I guess this isnt an issue for most?

Out of topic, but: Dragons aren't all bad. Leave the nice ones alone.
