i noticed a week ago someone was asking about bee swarms in the states... well apparently its happened again in arizona...
i have friends going across to visit and i wondered if this sort of thing was common?
i hear in arizona they have to do some sort of aerial spray to get rid of them? what's actually used? is it harmfull to humans?
i can't really be bothered to ring the helpline thingy (arizona pest removal info line (for outside operations listings)) so i am hopeful some one can help!
cheers folks!

you can use any airesol spray and a lighter. however for a few moments you'll really **** them off, and you have flying flames of doom swarming you. ------FD------

Just so happened to have a story about that jump-in-water-and-keep-underwater-when-bees-come-after-you thing.
One of my friends happened to **** off a huge sum of bees from their hive. He then jumped into the pool of ours about 5 ft away. Bees were all over the place and so we were locked inside.
Problem was, every time he would come up for air, the bees would swoop down and sting him. So we tossed him a plastic pipe half-inch in diameter to breathe out of whilst underwater.
Worked to an extent, cause the bees would try to get down the pipe and sting him. He had to stay underwater for 3 hours whilst we got the exterminators to spray em away.
Pool was ruined for 3 days due to the chemicals, and my friend was waterlogged for longer than that :P -

I live in Phoenix Az and Have a few bee hives myself. All I have to say to this thread is that you guys are tards.
Although, I will say, while inspecting the hives out on a farm on the outskirts of town last year, I did see a person guy get chased out of his own car by the bees. He pulled up to the 4 way stop some hundred or so yards away and aparently had his windows rolled down. I couldn't help but to laugh at the guy as he ran around his car once waving his arms.
If he though that was bad, he should have been standing where I was. Beesuit for the win.
