Quote: 4. Why does my character have to be 14 days old or more to be transferred? Transferring a character that is less than 14 days old makes little sense. This limitation is put in place mainly to prevent accidental transfers of wrong characters.
It makes a lot of sense if you create a second account.. If, as stated, it is to "prevent accidental transfers", why not just have an "Are you sure?" pop-up?
Is there any point waiting for a petition on this, or is the 2 weeks going to be up before it gets looked at?

Edited by: Farrellus Cameron on 01/04/2007 01:33:28 Petitioning for a rule change or for a personal exception is a waste of time. It doesn't matter if you disagree with their underlying rationale, or have a well-thought out argument for why it should be different, rules are rules. GM's don't have the power to change rules, they enforce them. And I've never heard of them making exceptions. ----------------------------------------------------

So I guess I either a) Leave the second account dormant for 2 weeks (Waste of money)? b) Transfer my main character (meaning leaving the corp I'm in)?
Any other options?

Why would you want to transfer a character less then 2 weeks old?
Just make a new one on the acount you want. If it's the name you want to keep, delete the old one and you can reuse the name.

I'd already put in a few days training before I realised how inconventient it was to have stopped my main.

A few days of training doesn't really make a difference in the long run. Once you start missing switching skills over you won't miss 2 days. --------------------------------------------

Agree. Sometimes you just miss time. Hour here. Hour there. It adds up. Better to just start over and, perhaps, tweak him a little more to your satisfaction.

As you can't transfer the character, creating a new one and training it on the other account will leave you with a character with more skills at the end of the 14 days you have to wait...
I think you are actually wasting precious skill time on your second account by not recreating your character on it instead of transfering it. It also saves money... -- Pocket drone carriers (tm) enthousiast ! Flying Vexor and Ishkur, Myrmidon was too slow, got ganked by 3 BC and a Megathron... |
