yamako	Posted - 2007.04.01 04:18:00 - [1] hey people im broke and am saving up to buy my first BS ^_^ im hoping for a meagathron as my dron skills suck so no dominix i got 33 million now so if any one know how to make a lot of money easily i can only do level 1 missions XD or how to get a megathron cheam please tell me it would be lots of help

Clair Bear	Posted - 2007.04.01 04:29:00 - [4] The best way to make ISK as a newbie or trial is salvaging. Get the prereqs and salvaging to at least level 3. Get a destroyer, fit it with 6 salvagers and 2 tractor beams. Now head south, where mission rats are sanshas and blood raiders. Salvage them, and hope melted cap consoles (worth about 550k each) drop often.
Alski Gallente Di-Tron Heavy Industries Freelancer Alliance	Posted - 2007.04.01 04:33:00 - [5] Well there aren't many ways to make ~100-130m very quickly (don't forget fittings and insurance) that don't take a bit of grinding / skillpoints / experience to access, if you could do any of them I guess you wouldn't be asking so I think your best options would be to go out with friends / corpmates and run a nice high level plex or good exploration site. Also I gotta say a very few SP in drones is better than even 2m SP in guns, are you sure you have the skills to use it well? Because the domi really is a much better BS to start with until your support and gunnery skills are up to what a megathron needs, plus it tanks better, plus its cheaper, and cheaper to insure. On the flip side it is as ugly as beep so good luck! -
Kirex Gallente Vale Heavy Industries SMASH Alliance	Posted - 2007.04.01 04:34:00 - [6] Don't rush to a battleship, slowly work your way up the chain while training skills that will help you pilot a Megathron effectively (specializing is KEY in eve) such as blaster (Gunnery), armor (Mechanic), speed (Navigation), capacitor (Engineering), and drones (Drones). I would say the best plan for you at the moment is to use a Thorax (Blaster Cruiser) for the time being, it's the cruiser equivalent to the Megathron. Nothings worse than a noob (no offense ;p) in a ship he can't pilot efficiently, with a crap fit, with no insurance or spare isk because he wasted all his ISK for the ship. (Don't fly something you can't afford to loose....EVER) And FYI, It cost about 90m to make the Megathron, it's highly unlikely someone will well it less than that. Click above for my killboard stats.
Zosimos Sabina Amarr Loot	Posted - 2007.04.01 04:36:00 - [7] ninja rat in an npc region or one bordering it. bring an ammo bpo in your cargohold. hardest part is getting past the choke points, I recommend logging on right after dt and fitting stabs & nanofibers. but once you're past, you can spend weeks without seeing anybody. and if you do, just safe and log/cloak. whenever I need to finance a purchase, that's what I do. When you're done, just install a jump clone in an npc station nearby, and presto - ez isk on demand.

I would say salvaging is a good bet. Mining is boreing, and I would never recomend doing it in Empire, high sec gets your ore stolen, low sec gets you pirated. either way, your wallet creeps up.

On a more serious note.. Join 0.0 corp and get some ratting done out there. You can easily rat serpentis in a thorax and ur money will shoot up just a tad bit quicker than lvl 1's

Seriously, for missions/NPCing drones and missles are king, and it sounds like you trained gallente first which means no missle for you just yet. As others have alluded to, guns are more of a skill oriented pvp toy, as theyre not nearly as versatile as drones/missles. Step two, get a Myrmidon. These puppies kick serious ass, its like a baby domi but obviously a lot cheaper. Step three, do missions, missions, and more missions.
