Is there a cap as to how high any resistance can go?

You can approach 100% slowly, but you will never reach 100%. ~Soi ______________________________

Would you get 99% or 95% or is that too far?

98.5% is the number that comes to mind as the realistic max u can reach.

A Muninn with 3 EM Hardener II and a Damage Control II gets 98.97% EM resists (at the expense of quite everything else, of course).

Edited by: Morreia on 01/04/2007 13:10:47 Edited by: Morreia on 01/04/2007 13:07:52 You can get 99.41 on a claymore with no bonus from gang using ded EM hardeners and rigs.
Could get marginally higher with gang bonus.
Imagine how many gankageddons/DDD's it would take to down that one .

Now make that 4 64% deadspace hardeners and 3 rigs, and you should approach 99.7% :)

Can only use 2 rigs but still.

There was a post about this quite a while ago and if I remember correctly the zealot can get the overall highest resists across teh board... something along the lines of 93% each when fitted for this purpose only.

Edited by: Vincent Almasy on 02/04/2007 01:24:21 Best omni-tank I know of is: Damnation 3x chelm's modified EANM 1x(each) chelm's moded energized em/th/kn membranes Rigs: 1x Anti-Therm Pump 1x Anti-EM Pump ------------------------------------------------------ EM: 95.11 EX: 95.09 KN: 95.24 TH: 92.05
Now this is without gang mod, cand someone tell me the effect of a maxed out 'Armored Warfare Link - Passive Defence' bonus is?

And the Absolution does the best armor omni-armor tank. It has more low slots than the Damnation.
Also you only get 1 DCII ;)
And the damnation only has 6 lows. ---------------------------------------- Thou Shalt "Pew Pew" |

sorry some typos but a damnation is better from gett base resist, and after stacking of 4 times per dmg type, it really does matter.

Nope.
Absolution tanks better then Damnation without taking gang-links into account due to 7.th low.
3x Corpum A-Type Adaptive Nano Membrane II 2x Centus X-Type Armor Thermic Hardener 1x Centus X-Type Armor Kinetic Hardener 1x Damage Control II
Anti-EM II Anti-Explosive II
11461 HP 94 EM 95.5 Expl 96.1 Kin 97.6 Thm --------- 95.8 Averaged = 272881 Effective HP
Every 1 HP/sec getting remote boosted on this will be effectively adding 23.81 DPS tankability.
100 HP/sec = 2381 DPS 200 HP/sec = 4762 DPS 500 HP/sec (Capital Remote) = 11905 DPS

Only one gang link adds to resistances, the rest are for repair services, and since there is no repper on it, it tanks better.
Probably still tanks better when the damnation has 3 gang mods too since its got to run them, costing it 5 cap/second for 22.5% more rep, which ought to be offset by the extra low. ---------------------------------------- Thou Shalt "Pew Pew" |

Now, if you had an Onerios to remote rep the thing, it could probably tank a lvl 5 mission. ------------------- My opinions (ie, all of my posting here) are not my corporations. Nor should it be taken as such. |
