Raven.
Because it has all the cargo space you need (carry around 5x CE's in your hold in case you need them)
fit with 5x CPR's you have like 250 second cap recharge
fit with 4x 100mn AB and 1x 100MN MWD and you have a top speed of around 1,800m/s.
and of course it has enough weapon mounts to take on a small NPC army.
It might be kind of expensive. But hey

Depending on the types of missions, the space in which your agent is in, your skills, the need for space vs speed, and your cash flow, it's pretty subjective!

For small cargoes (up to 200 or so), use a top rank frigate. Good cap and low slots for lots of overdrives or expanders. I find I can run a Punisher with 4 overdrives, MWD and AB and have no cap problems. And it shifts! :-)
For larger cargoes (200-550) use a lesser frigate but with more cargo space (e.g. Inquisitor). Fit with cap battery and/or power relays if you find cap problems.
For really large cargoes (have had up to 750) or kill missions, I use my Apoc, though one could probably get by with a cargo-heavy cruiser like a Vexor.
I find the frigates much better than the BS not so much because of straightline speed (the Apoc still does well over 1000mps) as in manoeverabiity and acceleration.
Though all this, of course, depends where you're operating. Frigates may be less useful in very low sec areas - or maybe more so, don't know, haven't tried! :-)

A shuttle, a fast frigate, a battleship, or an industrial, depending what the mission is.
There is no *one* best ship for running missions in general; if you insist on naming one, it's got to be a bs or indy, because some missions require cargo holds you just won't get in anything else.

In general I find that a Dominix makes a great mission ship. Cargo up to 1000m3 while keeping good speed, drones and weapons to kill NPC's, and with 400m3 or less cargo's, the ability to go 1400mps+ makes the runs to the gate and docking pretty quick.

I like to use a maller:
Non kill: 100MN MWD 2x Medium Cap Battery (260+ cap) 4x reactor control (10% powergrid) 2x 24% cargo expanders No guns (not enough powergrid)
Kill: 10MN MWD 1x Medium Cap Battery 1x Large Sheild Booster 6x Cap power Relays (20% cap recharge) 5x M Lasers (free ammo)

I can do 4 out of 5 missions with a Vigil
Its fast, agile and with 3 med, 3 low slots its versatile. And its so cheap that u can stash one at every agent youre working for.

Some of the missions Ive had so far have required about 2000m3 of space, so I kinda had to use an indy for those. Rest, including combat ones, are doable in a good cruiser.

I use rifter for level 1 missions who require small ammounts of items to be transfered, i get with this ship 14/16km/s
for level 2 agents i use stabber, fast ship with enough cargo and missle slots and gun slots.
for all the kill missions i use tempest, apoc, raven. __________________________

I use a Probe - its very fast and with two decent expanders the cargo space is 500m3 +
Blackbird for combat missions

Shuttle for really small cargo missions
Kestrel (Hi: 4 m12's with heavy/cruise missiles, Med: 1 MN mwd, 2 x cap rechargers Low: 2 x Power diagnostic units or cargo expanders)
With this setup can haul up to 500m3 or pick off rats from long range.
Scorpian for when im feeling lazy or when i neet to haul anything over 500m3.

Well I go with a thorax for any kill missions. (250mm rails with iron ammo = effective range of 46K - very nice) and any cargo runs upto 500m3 = 5 basic expanders - 1ab + 1mwd keeps me going
anything bigger cargo hauls and its back to the vexor

I use a total of 3 diffrent ships for running agent missions. I do agent missions for the imperial navy, so 90% of the missions i get are kill missions.
For Small quick deliverys I use a punisher loaded with 2 1mn mwd's. With 4 cap relays in the low slots it flys.
For Medium size deliverys, and low end frigate killing missions i use a arbitrator loaded with 2 100mn afterburners, and a load of 6 wasp. I get a constant speed of over 2km/s and have enoguh drone firepower to take on any of the frigate killing missions that I come up against.
For my firepower ship I use a vexor. Sure I could use a thorax but that takes all of the fun out of the kill missions. The vexor is a very powerful ship if used in certin ways. You can easly enough shield tank her up Its cheaper than a thorax by a fair amount. Plus it holds more cargo and has more flexability when you need to cross roll it for a large delivery mission.

for sheer speed a vigil cant really be beat, with OD's on the lows and some decent nav skills the base speed beats a shuttle .. then you have the option of 20+km/s bursts with a pair of MWD or a constant 5km/s with one mwd and two AB's
For the majority of courier missions I use a probe, an mwd and an ab in the mids - with OD's in the lows it has 277 cargo and about 3km/s top speed, with CE's it gets about 570 cargo with a bit over 2km/s speed
Stabber for kill missions .. fastest of all the cruisers and enough firepower and defense to take em
I've been using my dominix for thos missions that just wont fit in the smaller ships (though I wince as I do it, because a battleships agility causes it to be far slower than the frigates, even when the top speed isnt far off) . ----- Apologys for any rambling that may have just occurred.

Typhoon hands down, can haul all missions, can do all kill missions and is the fastest bs (7 low slots 150 base so you get 360 base with 7 ods also it is the lowest bs around now, and you can haul those nasty 2k cargo missions you cant fit in a vigil)
Second best is the stabber but you still cant put the big lvl3 cargo's in it... -------- -The only real drug problem is scoring real good drugs

Rupture. It can handle everything.
With a LiF and a cruiser MWD it hits top speed of 4km/s in seconds.
With 5x cargo expander 1's it can cope with 99% of the hauling missions.
For kill missions you can swap out the MWD, slap on a Heat Dissipation Shield hardener, chuck a few drones into your more-than-adequate drone bay and Bob's your maiden aunty.

I run two lvl 3s and 1 lvl 2 agent at a time and I mainly use a kestrel with 2ab, 1 mwd, and two cap relays. For kill missions and bigger cargo missions I use a megathron.

I use my apoc High = 3x tach, 1x mega, 2x heavy mod beam. 2x h50 arbalest, or 8 miners Med = 2x 100mn MWD. 1x L shield booster, 1x em shield hardener Low = 1x basic overdrive, 6 caps relay
I can do 2300m/s before i bounced off the gate and still with 90% caps Plenty of room for cargo too

For most missions I use my Vigil. I work for a manufacturing corp agent and he loves small courier missions, and you can't really beat a Vigil for those. 3 named overdrives, 1 MWD, 1 AB, a missile launcher, and an autocannon (so it can also handle light kill missions) gives 5km/sec sustained speed.
For bigger kill missions or cargo runs, I use a MWD-equipped Omen cruiser. Lots of low slots for nanos and expanders so I can carry up to 1k cargo.
For the BIG cargo runs or BIG kill missions (if I ever get one) I break out the Apoc with a Quad LiF MWD and as many nanos as I can get away with fitting. It's slow, but still faster than my Bestower.
For the insane 2k cargo runs, I either use my Bestower and go fix lunch while I fly or just tell the agent to sod off and do something else.

I use a Kestrel Frigate with (3) 10mn Ab's and (2) partial hull conversion units. I get 640 m/s with the afterburners activated. On top of that it can handle most of the cargo my agent gives me to transport. For kill missions I use my Raven, and for heavy loads I use my Bestower or Badger Mk II. ______________________

Omen for large cargo hauling.
1k cargo at 6.5km/sec
for kill missions I use a Black Bird. Heavy missiles (or cruise when required).
For small runs a punisher. Fast and agile, plus handles those 120au jumps better than a cruiser.
Will work for fud. |

Well, it isn't my Tempest but I use it anyway. It's laziness really. It's totally overpowered for the kill missions (nice), and it carrys enough cargo to do 99% of the level 3 missions.
Speedwise it doesn't do too badly. It turns slowly, but still manages to pass the majority of frigates (which *must* be really badly set up) in the jump-gate Grand Prix.
The Typhoon would definately be a better bet for a jack-of-all-trades mission battleship though.
(Yes, I know it's lame to use a battleship for missions, but I just to lazy to maintain a lil' fleet at my agents station)
