i think what is really making you type in caps is one of two things.
1. Your 'caps lock' key is on.
2. You need to let go of the 'Shift' key.
Should solve your problem.

oh and yea, i dont like the ctrl+mouse to map thing either, but that is like soooooo 2006 of you to complain about it.

I say remove the map. it is buggy.. and the option to make it fast does not make it fast.
It is useless for roaming gangs...... I had to go to a paper map which obviously does not have station counts, or average players in space.
They won't fix the stupid thing so they should just revert back to the old one that worked.

i dont want to fly blind... it works fine for me, shows active pilots nicely, and the systemmap owns aswell when doing exploration
[although there are certain radar sites what results in a white laggy "something" when i ttry to read the site label when iam at the spot :-< ]

Works fine for me atleast. Sure, it takes a while(sec or two) to load *cough* 6000 systems...but what the hey

Yeah I hate that big white blob that obliterates most of the system map. And that wibbly thing that appears when a tractor beam is operating.
