I did find out that I am really limited on the ships that I can use, and that is ok for now. I think the largest ship I can use for missions is a Cruiser. But I have seen different things on a ship called the Gnosis. I think I will be able to eventually use this ship. It is a "special edition" ship, and it doesn't show up in my ship tree. Does anyone know if this is true or a glitz? thanks Cassy

(It's going to take a lot of missions to buy them, but by then will I really need one?) Just as well, we probably wouldn't be able to fit them good enough to be effective. These SoCT ships have very good drone bays, with bonuses for the drones. Alphas are very limited in the drone department, so it may not help us very much. But hey, for some reason we can use smart bombs. Cassy

In my Moa, so far, I can do about 221dps, and I don't expect it to go very much higher. Piece of cake for L2s, but L3s I don't think so. That's why I got the Gnosis, but with a limit on skills, especially drones, doing L3s may be difficult. I'm at about 300 dps in the Gnosis at this time, and that's ok since I can't run L3s now anyway. Limited to T1 drones, with no support skills for them, they will not be very effective. I know, I know, what do you want for free. LOL Same for the new destroyer. If it relies on drones for most of it's dps, it may not be that good for PVE either. -Eva
Do Little Virgin Plc Evictus. 561	Posted - 2016.11.21 21:33:13 - [6] - Quote Gnosis is a jack of all trades, master of none but all bonuses are role bonuses so you get the equivalent of Battlecruiser 5 out of the box. Excellent ship for level 3 missions. Alpha clones are not restricted to T1. You can't use a lot of T2 gear but hull upgrades 4 unlocks DCU2 and that is an awesome module for the Gnosis (and most anything else Alphas can fly). Weapon upgrades 4 will let you fit T2 weapon upgrades - Drone Damage Amp, Ballistic Control, Magnetic field Stabiliser, etc... You can also use faction and integrated drones - Integrated Hobgoblins are selling for 550K in Jita right now - not cheap but not outrageous. You can use faction ammunition although you shouldn't need it for L2 missions. When your budget permits you can fit faction or deadspace weapons and modules. The bling isn't necessary and will make you a more attractive gank target but it's there if you want it. Gnosis stats for those who don't have them: http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Gnosis

Hell a blaster Gnosis can get over 600 with T2 damage mods This gets 633 DPS and skill has loads of space for normal fittings. Add faction bling and you are not far off 700 DPS. That should be enough for lvl 3 missions. not sure how much can caldari get out of it.
