Can someone help me understand the disparity between Gallente and Minmatar (possible the other races as well, i havn't looked into it)power grid needs for their respective turrets. As it stands now a tempest with a full rack of T2 1400s requires an rcu even with AWU IV where as a megathron can fit a full rack of T2 425s without. the loss of one low slot really isn't that big of a deal, however if someone wants to use projectile rigs they can forget about it without fitting more powergrid mods/rigs first. I understand that each weapon type has benefits and drawbacks but i fail to see the balance between projectiles and hybrid weaponry. Is the ability to select damage types worth so much that hybrids need to have better range, higher overall dps, and an easier time fitting?

One thing to remembe ris that while teh mimatar use a LOT more PG they don;t care if their Cap is gone(as far as firing down range goes). We have to give up slots for PG while others have to give up slots for CPU or Cap

So I guess the Amarr got the worst of two worlds?

Things are more or less balanced. We use more in long range guns but less on short range. Also maelstrom can fit a full rack without problem.
If brute force doesn't solve your problem... you are not using enough |
