Yeah, we are funny this way. We don't like smack. We don't log off to save a ship. We don't like exploits. Hey, we can't even stomach our own plex belching out loot like a crazed volcano.
Being in FIX means something. Some days it means being poor. It always means being comfortable with who we are and how we do things.
I guess this is why we are one of the oldest "dead" alliances around.

Post with your mains...
I can honestly tell you that it came up in alliance chat for the first time this morning, and I guess DS thought it was important enough to post about... I guess he could keep running it and making 15bn a day, but no, he tells someone about it. -----------

Not sure if this it true for DS (allthough i would be surprised it if wasn't) but for most vet players like myself making lots of isk isn't the only thing to this game so i'm not really surprised he brought it under attention. Resized tag... again... hope this pleases the tag ninjas from ccp... again :p

It is true for me. Making ISK is my hobby in EVE, not my sole reason for existence. Though I do make a lot of ISK

DS killed me once (when I was in Huzzah) and i felt honored.
you would think something important as a 10/10 would get tested and monitored for problems....

Shame Bob have known about this plex forever and have never attempted to use it. The only people running it recently were FIX and Triumvarte, we dispatched their POS and they left.
We just don't like the idea of exploiting something, we do things properly. Making that amount of money each day is powerhungry. The amount of money that thing is spewing out could buy us 50 dreadnoughts in a week. Not our idea of a legitimate capital fleet ;\

I suppose if anything this does show the critical flaw in static complexes in that they are basically easy isk farms.

It is definitly a bug, and farming the complex is definitly classed an exploit according to a dev blog that I am too lazy to dig up.
Too bad CCP has been shown to do next to nothing to folks known to exploit Complex bugs.
Much respect to DS and Fix for bringing this to the developers attention. Just shows that you're a class act.

Edited by: Topaz Skydiver on 04/04/2007 09:42:16 Good to see people that habe a sense for what is right and what is wrong.
But I wonder, why such bugged complexes make it to tranquility. I mean it's not the first bugged complex. The devs must know the impact on the economy and on pvp, if a bugged complex drops like 20 bil per day (etimated by your numbers). They should make 100% sure that overseer respawn and loot tables are correct imho.
And if people are exploiting something like that and keeping it secret, I hope they get a proper punishment. CCP needs to make clear that exploiting obvious bugs as much as possible isn't rewarded. I mean everyones knows that it can't be right. And then it's time for the ones, who discover it, to write a bug report and try to get a GM response, if it's ok or if it's seen as exploiting.
*edit* most players think in millions per day, not several billions, and I think they don't find it very funny, if some people make like xx times more isk by abusing a bug. At least my sense of humor ends there.

I don't get it, how can bugs like this exist. Surely the spawns are logged when they occur, and surely when CCP want to assay where money enters the economy they might check sources such as that to see how they're functioning?

Assuming, of course, that its a bug. If its not, then I laugh at all the people with hordes of T2 BPOs who don't realize they can make billions a day with just a few characters in a complex.
So are you saying that the isk generated by someone who has BPO's is insignificant compared to people who run 'plexes?
I wonder exactly what your motivation is with a statement like that and who it could be applied to.
Your OP is BS and you know it.This is a weak attempt at flame bait and shouldnt have been posted tbh.Grow up.

Uh dude, that's a well known fact.
Even the worst 10/10s make far more than the best BPOs.
IMO static complexes should be removed and moved to exploration complexes, so that everyone has a chance to get at them and there's no "respawn timer".

Edited by: Motorcycle Emptiness on 04/04/2007 14:37:23 assuming the complex is farmed 23/7 at 20bil per day, and assuming there are say, 50k genuine players (so many have alts), that's like 2.8million per player per week for the entire game, from one complex!
much respect to DS and fix for bringing this to light. I wonder how many other complexes are doing this, and what alliance is farming them? This kinda thing (if confirmed as a bug) is sure to make CCP take a look at all complexes.

Sad isn't it that it requires forum exposure to put the topic to the light, where a few dozen petitions and a number of BR's over the past two months have gone unnoticed ...
Now let's see if only this specific complex gets adjusted, or the full range of racial types. Maybe even finally it will become impossible to enter the Sansha 10/10's from off grid ...
