My question is, will i see a significant boost in dps with specialization, or should i search elsewhere? Specifically in ratting 0.0 in my raven.

Do it. It's a must for any Raven pilot. You won't be able to PvP without T2 Cruise, and ratting with them is worth it.

be aware of the fact t2 cruse missile launchers a full tank, nos and dmg mods is nearly impossible to fit, but if your using t2 cruise missile lauches get the cruise spec to lvl4 asap. If you prefer arbys then just train it to lvl1

training cruise spec to lvl 4 and using T2 cruise misile launchers will give you an 8% faster rate of fire (ROF) then you currently have. And training of cruise missile launchers from 4 to 5 (which you are doing now) will give you a 5% increase in damage.
So overall you should see a 14% increase in damage per second (dps).
PS. dont use T2 missiles to rat in, it isnt cost effective.

It is hard to fit all that if using Torp launchers II, but with Cruise it is very easy (assuming all relevant skills at V)
After getting Cruise V there is no point not getting cruise specs to IV, and if you use them a lot get cruise specs V.

Get Guided Missile Precision up to level 4 at least also. Will help your cruise out alot with Cruisers and below.

Don't forget about Warhead Upgrades. Adds 2% dmg to all missiles.

Thanks for the tips. I have warhead lvl 4/5. guided missile precision 3/5. So hopefully I'll see some improvements.

yes its worth it. but the cruise missile specialization skill does not add to your damage, it gives you +2% rof per level- and worth noting its not to all launchers either, its for launchers that require the cruise spec skill, ie: t2 launchers. i think.

I just got t2 cruise myself and while I only have spec at 1 right now I did some experimentation. Against frigate sized targets I was noticing that the precision cruise do about 50pts more dmg to the ship than the t1 versions. With the frigate comming at me I was doing 102 with t1 and 158 with t2 precision. I haven't tried the high dmg yet though it seems torps would be better for that.

I just want to take out BS sized ships faster. Hopefully this will increase my ratting speed. I'm ratting in a raven, so it should go much faster.

you wont make as much money - the cruise missiles are expensive (tech 2 versions). It makes more sense to rat in a torpedo raven, to me.
