It would appear that the hosts that are set on the cloudfront servers are not working. Pinging the host servers fails and the network diagnostics fail to ping or successfully traceroute to the servers. Is anyone else having this issue? |

YES, I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE! I have performed all the diagnostics and they all fail. It appears to stop at Cox Communications in Atlanta, GA for me. Even the forums are loading slower than usual.
I'm glad I'm not the only one!

Stops at centrytel,net for me ... but I think it is the Cloudfront Host. I believe that is Amazon's hosting site so we may be waiting for a long time for this to be fixed... |

okay i was lucky and have really smart people in the corp so they told me to change my dsn to googles and uiit worked im in eve.

same ... checking GUI version ... just got thro and loaded the launcher nicely, but was down for ~10-15 min .. what is funny the launcher does its checks and fails while i have anoather account logged and playing without any issues ...

Today, the launcher gave me "Please wait Checking GUI version..." message.
I wonder how long I'll have to wait before the message changes to something else? Knowing CCP, I won't be surprised the answer is forever.

I have this just now, don't use VPN's but a traceroute test from the client IS timing out. Any ideas of fixes I can try? |

Same issue.
I refuse to use the Google DNS workaround.
Update:
Closing the Launcher from taskbar and re-starting Launcher from exe fixed it.
