I'm gonna assume this is a PvE setup. The setup looks ok all around... but if you get owned by a BC you're doing something wrong, as you should be able to do tank their damage... Try improving specifically your kinetic and thermic resistances as you won't need anything else against Gallente NPCs. So replace the EANM with an Energized Thermic Membrane, even maybe an Armor Thermic Hardener (i.e. active). Then replace either the Heat Sink or the CPR with an Energized Magnetic Membrane. Ideally you'll want to be able to run your tank 24/7 or for as long as possible against NPCs, so if taking out the CPR makes you unable to run your tank 24/7, remove the heat sink, you'll probably still do enough damage to kill a BC.
If you can fit it, I would think a Vengeance would benefit more from a Small Cap Battery than a Cap Recharger, too, so try that. The nos isn't terribly useful and eats a lot of grid, so you could take that out if it helps to fit the cap battery. Then, if you can, fit a rocket launcher instead for some extra damage. --- High quality pics of ALL EVE ships!

You haven't stated whether its for PVE or PVP.
Vengeance PvP
3 Dual Light Beam II 1 Small Diminishing Nos
1 Named MWD 1 Web 1 Warp Disruptor II
1 SAR II 1 Internal Force Field Array 1 Energized Thermic Membrane II 1 Beta Reactor Control Cap Power Relay.
Rigs Either Cap or Rep Amount depending on skills/preference.
Primarily used as a heavy tackler.
If for PVE I would not touch the Vengeance and use a Retribution it is a huge difference.

My PvP setup:
3 x Medium Anode Pulse Particle Stream (no grid for T2, but hey) w/MultiFreq 1 x Small Nos (E5)
1 x 1mn Ab (cold-gas) 1 x 20km Scram (J5) 1 x Web (X5)
1 x SAR II 2 x EANM II 1 x Energised Thermic Plating II
Has a wicked little tank does this ship, and you can sustain it all with the nos, it just doesn't have a terribly good damage output.

If any AF came near my Harbinger I'd swat it like a fly.
AFs are tough, but not that tough. A well-fit cruiser can kill them.

You still haven't clarified whether you're talking about an NPC or an actual player. But since I don't believe there are NPC Myrmidons, it means you attacked a real human player flying a Myrmidon? In a Vengeance? If that is the case, it only makes sense that you got owned. It's the only possible outcome unless the Myrmidon pilot is an idiot.
And if you're talking about NPCs -- don't get webbed, use your speed, orbit around your target at your optimal range, they will not be hitting you (or very poorly) and they'll die. --- High quality pics of ALL EVE ships!

...a Myrmidon?!
Did it have Nos? Medium Drones? Web?
If it had, and you survived a minute, congratulations, your setup rules. Or he sucks.
The thing is, Vengeance is more of a tackler then anything else; I too wanted it to be a nice solo pvp ship, but truth is, it isnt... Use a cruiser for that if you wish.
Personally, as the tackler, my setup is;
3 Dual Pulse II 1 Knave Nos (Diminishing and E5 dont fit)
Arcjet Thrusters X5 Web (or was it Langour?) F5 Disruptor (or less cpu usage)
SAR II 200RT Plate N-type Thermic Plate N-type EANM
This is an extremely tight fit (I dont remember If I had best named in all thou, not at home now), and its focused on tackling, and survival. Cap can hold for a lot of time (AF 4, Cap skills at 4), and tank is monstrous for this type of ship. DPS is low, not above 80 at tops with Scorch S, but it does what its supposed to do.
You'll laugh at all kinds of missiles, and if you fly it well, turrets will do nothing dangerous. You can even solo in it, but know your place, dont expect to survive an encounter with a Myrmidon, amongst all ships
...who of course promptly went bat****, flipped out and killed some people. |
