Edited by: Fabullite on 04/04/2007 15:39:46 Hey all, I'm training for one of these and will have it starting around May so I have some time before I go and buy one. But I've been doing some reading and was wondering if this would be a solid setup for small/med roaming gangs with the occasional station engagement.
HIGH ======================== 4x Heavy Pulse II's 1x Med Nos II
MID ======================== 1x 10MN AB II 1x Med Cap injector W/ 800's 1x 82-90% Webber/1x Warp Dist. II/2x Webber (depends on how many tacklers we have really)
LOW ========================= 1x MAR II 1x Thermic Membrane II 2x EANM II 1x DCU II 2x HS II
Rigs: T1 PG/ and??? not sure what to put in for the last one
Let me know what you guys think. And please don't tell me to just go get a Harby or some other ship. Thanks for the help

Im on the same page as you, but I did a full turnaround and stopped short of a zealot and am now 31 days away from a Curse/pilgrim..However ill then need to boost my shield and missle skills....
BTW, best bet for figuring out what works, duel your corp mates, try setups vs the top 3 BS's and if u can tank their dmg while eating at their tank then you have the right setup...

Yah I kinda did what you did but opposite. Was going for a curse/pilgrim but then realized most of my SP wasn't in what I needed so went with the other ship I liked =).

it seems a reasonable setup, tho i hate flying without a MWD personaly
for the last rig slot, try a cap recharge thinggy to help when nos'd
i havn't got a new sig so i used an old one :) |

Edited by: Angus McLean on 04/04/2007 19:05:31 4x Heavy Pulse Laser II (With Conflagration/Scorch/Multi) Medium Diminishing Nos
10mn Afterburner II Fleeting Stasis Web Fleeting Scram
Medium Armor Rep II Passive Hardener II (Thermic) Passive Hardener II (Second lowest resist. **) 2x EANM II 2x Heatsink II
Rigs: 2x Capacitor Control Circuit
This is the setup I use, I prefer not to use an MWD or Beams. MWD lowers your total cap amount even when it is not activated, I find this is annoying and occasionally incapacitates your ship even more when being nossed.
I dont like beams because I prefer up close fighting and DPS. Beams lack the kind of DPS I like, and it lacks the fun of fighting up close and personal.
** I occasionally switch the second passive plate with a DCU II to get 60% structure resistances, but I find that I like having higher resistances on my armor than on my structure.
Generally when im in structure its because I did something wrong (IE taking on more ships than I know I can handle) or Im screwed anyways.

if you wanna get up close and personal and do large dps, crose train to a deimos or skill up for an absolution the zealot gets a range bonus and is fairly fast so can keep range.
if you have an injector like the op does, then the cap penalty from the mwd isnt that important, as it'll never all run without hte booster anyway

Abso is what I normally use, but I would never train for the deimos unless somehow it got a range bonus because at the moment It has to get way to close for my liking. I like 7km - 14km kind of range. Something pulses are rather good at.
