Mission I found changed so far:
Pirate Slaughter: totally redone, waves with triggers (much easier, for me at least)
Pirate Invasion, Massive Attack, The Score: basicly the same, but the groups don't all spawn at once when you warp in, but staggered on intervals of a few seconds
Generally good changes imho, certainly killed the lag in the last pocket of Pirate Slaughter. Massive Attack and The Score seem to have less ships total, Pirate Invasion has more battleships.

I'm doing massive attack (sanchas) right now, and I find curious that each npc pocket spawn at only a few seconds interval. It might be to reduce the lag when you warp in, but three of those spawns aggro you. Getting 3 tacklers, 10+ battleships and a few cruisers at the same time makes things hairy. I'm not certain a standard T2 torp or cruise raven can survive that...
------------------------------------------ A big nuke may be nice in a strategy game, but something like this in a game where every unit is a player, and each death costly, is insane. |

Hmmm, I had no issues with additional agro on Massive Attack that I remember. The first wave that spawns isn't always the closest one though, handier to just wait a few and let them all spawn and see what agroes.

All I did was move a few kilometers toward the first wave appearing, and it aggroed even before the third wave (the one that spawn 20km under you) appeared...

Thanks for the info. Haven't been online and was wondering what some of the changes were.
I wish they'd beef up Massive Attack (lvl 4). So many frigs and cruisers - you'd think a lvl 4 would have some more BSs in it. __________

18 BS right now. It seems they did beef it up.

Its made missions ALOT easier at least the ones ive tried, pirate slaughter was a breeze compared to what it was and the gates been close to warp in is alos a nice change. Think u get more bs's than you did for alot of the changed missions. And i dont get any lag tbh, but i do have all effects off and run lesser known npc corp missions.
Well my main does anyway.

Not for drone users.
Each timer or kill triggered spawn tends to attack drones. I'm totally ok with that. Only drones, for some odd reason, tend to stop listening for my commands and start attacking the new spawn.
If I'm lucky - they are back in bay with armor gone.
My point being - scenario is ok, but not the implementation.

ASSAULT LV 4:
first stage: fine, way less frigs n cruisers and a few more BS,one additional spawn came in no biggy, warp in was 20 km from the gate to stage 2.
second stage: hell yeah, 18 BS and a buttload of cruisers, few frigs, one additional spawn came in wich insta aggroed me. killed em all
sidenote: second stage rats jammed me for 17 cycles in a row.

I kept getting jammed on Pirate Slaughter stage 3 ... those 2 cruiser are annoying but the next wave only spawn when you kill the battle ship so just waste the 2 cruiser and the bs and rince and repeat 2-3 times ... a LOT more fun then it was .... Gone Berserk is also very nice ...

I just got this mission but have not accepted it yet. So basically you get randomly timed reinforcement spawn with no rat that triggers the next wave?
How long would you say it takes for all waves to spawn? http://www.placidreborn.net

It's just a matter of seconds between spawns, just to ease the lag issue of having to load all ships at once.

If you find them too easy, you can try doing them in another ship. For a long time the lv4 missions were easy in a raven/nighthawk/cerberus, and long/hard with just about anything else. It's a good thing the new missions are more balanced for those that don't like cookie-cutter ships.
