The Recordkeeper Caldari Keepers of Knowledge	Posted - 2007.04.07 02:50:00 - [1] Far have we travelled throughout space into the darkness and beyond, a journey neverending, our quest for knowledge unquenched. Now we arrive here in this place in time, a new era for our order, new empires to record. We are the Keepers of Knowledge, an old order of Caldari who once sought knowledge as a way to profit, now come to the realization that to profit from others misfortunes is the greatest misdeed of all. We seek the knowledge of all empires and alliances and the record of their existence that we may record it in our journals for all time and bring forth someday in the distant future an archive of this place. We of the Order Omega would beg all who inhabit this place to honor us with the record of your existence and the history of your empires. Corporations, alliances, empires all are worthy to be recorded in our archive so that one day our ancestors may gaze upon the history of our time and say we have led an honorable life. Shortly the Order Omega will bring forth an interface (website) which will allow all to submit their history if they are so willing. Our desire is merely to record for the benefit of all mankind and bring forth understanding and peace for all eternity as we all realize we are the same. As one of our duties to mankind we also offer our services as arbitrators in disputes between empires and alliances for as a neutral party we may be objective in our decisions and aid the cause of mankind. We will evaluate disputed claims presented and offer impartial opinions on the outcome in hopes that the truth of the record will hold the day against the false. The truth as it is recorded is our history for all time and we must honor it if we are to be honored in the future. The Recordkeeper Order Omega

We are honored to ask you the capsuleer pilots of the Eve cluster for your combined history and operations that we may assemble a true and complete record. Once assembled the combined historical record of all will be presented to the cluster via holoarchival transmission (website) and all shall be able to access it. We ask the following groups to supply us via email below with their historical record. Space has few witnesses, and even fewer impartial and/or objective ones. The "History" of most corperations is pretty much lies, half-truths, subjective truths and things they wish were true. Why? Because in EVE alot depends on Image. An image of strenght might keep enemies of your backs, a percieved weakness can bring in jealous scavengers just waiting for the oppertune moment. Image is what keeps most pod-pilots together and image is what splits most pod-pilots apart, few are truly friends enough to stay together when faced with sufficient adversity. Sometimes they only stay together in adversity because of selfish motivations, to become known as a quitter means that you will forever be at a disadvantage as people will be unwilling to take you in and others will be eager to exploit. To summarise. It takes guts to write down things that could reflect negativly on your own corperation (much less make it public), and when it comes to pod-pilots 90% of them don't have what it takes. ______________________________________________ -You can never earn my respect, only lose it. Caldari unmotivated, or minimally motivated, by the acquisition of material goods are not such a rarity, though the bloodline this is most common to is the Achura, The Recordkeeper being a fair example. Achura tend to be more interested in scholarly and spiritual pursuits-- indeed, many, myself included, place little distinction between the scholarly and the spiritual. Is it your intention to pass judgment on which accounts are accurate and which are not, or to simply record, and leave the lies to bear witness against the liars for all of history? I ask, in part, because not only is it sometimes difficult to discern the truth from the lies, or lies from a simple matter of perspective, but sometimes groups whose statements are declared less than truthful have been known to take offense, just or not, and sometimes even to take up arms. If it's your intention to pass judgment regarding the truth of the provided statements, you may be placing both yourselves and your worthy project in harm's way. Even if you yourselves are not physically attacked, certain denizens of this forum have been known to resort to measures up to and including theft and murder for the sake of scoring rhetorical points. If you have already considered this, I will presume any preparations to be sufficient to the task you place before yourselves if you should choose to cast yourselves in the role of judges. If you have not ... I hope you will take the time to think this over before you make a decision that may result in success or failure for the entire project.

You make valid commentary on the possible dangers of our archive but we of the Order are committed to the last. We will place all information into the record and evaluate it for accuracy with stated records of the universe already existing to compare with then we will offer as impartial a record as possible and leave it to the history of the universe to judge our efforts. We are in the process of developing our IG browser database which will allow all pod pilots to instantly access information about the corportions and entities listed. For entities that did not submit information we have started assembling information from previous galnet and other postings and will assemble a record that we feel reflects a true picture of your entity. We hope all entities listed will honor us with the history of their corporations and allow us to have the most accurate record possible.
