Hello stratios enthusiasts!
So i want to start hunting explorers but im unsure how i can fit expanded probe launchers because they use a tonne of cpu. Does anyone have any ideas how to have a good combat scanner that can also kill? Also should i use sensor boosters to lock frigates faster?

I agree with SurrenderMonkey. No real need for combat probes just fit your Strat with reg Sisters Core probes and have the system scanned down already, before prey arrives. OR, if someones already in the hole your in, get out of Dscan range, drop your probes, then warp to any spot where you can narrow them down to 5-15degrees and within 1AU on Dscan, then center your probes towards the end of your cone and hit Scan. You should get a hit on the Signature theyre in very quickly once you get good at scanning.
One other totally unsolicited piece of advice- A lot of (adept) explo guys will get away from you in the Stratios due to the delay you have upon decloaking. I favor Stealth Bombers for this type of work. Or, for ridiculously awesome extra style points, use a Faction Smartbomb fit Proteus ; https://youtu.be/SGZ4EDQvC8w

Combat recons dont show on dscan. No cloak needed. Being surprised is only a curse when its a Curse.
Neverforget.
Signatures wer cooler when we couldn't remove them completely.

How much damage do smartbombs do? Ive gotten lots of mediums as drops but i sell them because they only seem like they do 100 a hit or so for mediums in the attributes screen and eat up capacitor. That video shows them one hitting people though. Is he using large? |
