Sooo i created a alt to help my main with mission running. My toon started with the following; Armoured lv2, information lv2, Siege lv3 and Skirmish lv4 warfare. I created a gang, had both toons in space in the same system and nothing, no gang bonus`s what so ever. Am i missing something; what ship should my Leadership alt be in etc?
Regards

Aye my leadership skill is lv5 and i worked out how to make a fleet, but: The bonus`s still dont seam to apply to my main. I created a fleet then promoted my main to wing commander, there is a little green light indicating he gets the bonus`s. I should be getting a extra 8% velocity bonus for example from skirmish warfare but i dont?! none of the bonus`s are working at this point

you'll need to be squad commander as i'm guessing you didn't train wing commander skill.

Edited by: J Valkor on 07/04/2007 10:40:04 Right click on the tab that says "Gang" and how many members are in it on your overview. Convert to Fleet. Demote yourself to Squad Commander. There. Be sure you are in the same area as the alt you are partnered with, in the same squad, under the same wing, in the same fleet. Be sure that the character with the leadership skills is the squad commander.
I am not trying to talk down, just making sure I have every possible base covered.

J Valkor - Is there a way I can reap the benefits of gang benefits if I'm in a gang of one? That is I want to benefit from my own Leadership skills without being ganged with anyone else. If I set myself as Wing Commander the little light turns green, but not for any other position. While it is green if I view my ship info neither my armor amount nor my shield amount have changed despite my having Armored Warfare and Siege Warfare skills both at level one.
From this I surmise either that one's skills always apply to himself or that gangs are required to have at least two members before the Leadership skills apply at all. (or the third possibility is that the Leadership skills are buggy.)
I'm testing this by training my Armored Warfare skill to level two without making any other changes. If one's skills always apply to himself, I should see an additional 2% armor points.
Any suggestions about improving my one-ship army?

You need more than one person in the same system for gang bonuses to take effect. However, there is a use for the gang of one: it enables you to tag stuff on the overview. --------- Currently offering high-sec POS standings service for 0.5 systems within the Gallente Federation. Evemail me for details. |
