Alright, I've been playing the 15 day preview and I'm still having fun.
Btw, there was a microsoft game that played a LOT like this game, so much that it seemed like a rip-of. I loved it, but it was small network only and not truly persistant, so I didn't see any real benefit to playing and building my resources to only play a few other players.
Anyway, If I buy in, will I get pro-rated the 30 days free with purchase? Do I need to buy the disk to get extra graphics, playability, etc?
Thank you,

You allready play the full game, though some skills can't be trained on Trial accounts for obvious reasons.
When you login to your account-page at www.eve-online.com you can purchase the game for 19.95 USD and continue playing the game you love.
There is no CD or DVD, the latest version can be downloaded and installed from the above named site.

Have fun!

Here's how it works.
You are currently from the trial.
If you upgrade your account to a paying account, you will lose any remaining days on the trial.
The first month is roughly $5 more than the regular ongoing monthly subscription. The first month pays for purchasing the actual game with 30 days free play tossed in, though.
Any expansions & patches are included free of charge (they automatically download, when released). There is no need to stalk your local gaming store to get the latest update.
Having a paid account will allow you train certain skills that are not available on the trial accounts.
The only extra (and optional) charge would be for using EVE-Voice. You can activate a trial version of that, as well, for 30 days, before deciding whether an extra $10 per year is worth it.

They probably changed it then, I started a new account about 2 months ago, because it isn't possible anylonger to run a Trial account simultaniously with a registered account, I upgraded it and ended up with 44 days instead of the 30 you get when purchasung the game

Earth and Beyond was Electronic arts. The Destruction of your ship is usually preceeded by the thought,"I think I will try somthing a little different this time...." |
