Edited by: Rod Steel on 07/04/2007 09:42:23 I read sooo many posts from people posting at work...what the hell do you guys do for a living??? Wouldn't you be in the sh*t if you're caught doing this?? How can you accept your paycheck at the end of the week with a clear conscience? Where is your work ethic? Where do you work, I want a job!

How can I accept my paycheck with a clear conscience? Why should I care about the shareholder value of a gigantic enourmous faceless multinational corporation? I mean, RLY?!?

I live in France and in France the justice recognise the worker the right to use the company's computers for private use as long as it does not disturb their duties or company's daily operations*. Heck, I can even browse ****ography if I want (as long as it does not break any law). So I have no ethic problems nor I should even question myself about it since my work is done, my customers are happy and my employer too. I'm an IT Security Consultant.
Did I said that my company opened wow ports on the firewalls ?
Ps: It's even better when you know that you can create a private folder on your work computer and your employer has no right whatsoever to look into it (unless they fill a legal complaint and a police officer comes to gather evidences of course). --

I used to post a lot before, but now I have a job. Job > Forum.
And no, its not the kind of job where I can be a slacker since im constantly on a deadline doing stuff for the customer. I dont think "browsing the Eve forums" works as an excuse for being a few days late with something.

Edited by: Sheriff Jones on 07/04/2007 20:01:17 When i used to be a graphic artist, i did "necessary" renderings of all my 3d models. Ofcourse they "needed" to be lit correctly and rendered in a 360 animation
When i did quality assurance, there was so much spare time that i could even take a nap.
When i worked on level design--> Export ALL levels. Just to be sure they work *cough*
On game design, well, i do "research"
