Well for most of the stations that would mean remodeling the station entirely, and that's not gonna happen.
Some stations have multiple exits that are just begging to be used though. Ironically, it's the caldari stations that only have one opening. Just wait till you leave a LowSec station one day to find a Mothership 0 meters from the exit and 15 jeted cans all over and around. That one will really make ya smile.

I would love to have more than one undocking point on a station. It would ease botht he undocking congestion as well as allowing people to escape from camped stations by having the undock point being in any one of a number of positions.
Not to mention making everyones lives that little bit more stress free.
You take what is offered. And that must sometimes be enough. |

Make it so you undock 50km out and we have a deal. The dock/un dock waltz is damn annoying

I get a good 99% success in undocking even in the infamous jita(which by the way ain't that bad for some reason on my comp) by doing the following:
Exit station. Camera drone WAY down. AB/MWD on max thrust. CLIMB CLIMB CLIMB!!!

I think that ships should be launched from the exit at a random multiplier of their top speed between 10 and 100 and be forced to let themselves decelerate. TBH I would sit by Jita 4-4 just to WATCH!
Oh, and all ships bump each other right from the get go.

I approve this topic.
But really, I've spent times station camping too, and really, it's boring. Sit 5-10km from the undock point..wait for war target to undock...lock, F1,F2,F3...rinse and repeat. Having to stand off a bit and coordinate a little would be good for station camper boredom, as well as station rats who are terrified(...and rightly so) to undock.

There should be an acceleration gate on station exit that chucks you somewhere randomly up to 50km at 45\/45 degrees.

Tbh i don't see why some people are making such a big fuss about it, i think having more then 1 exit on stations is a great idea, u all must have experienced the one where u exit station to find the gate u want to warp to is on the other side of the station?
Also stops people from camping 1 side and potentially abusing this knowledge.

I agree that it would be nice to have multiple exits, but how does CCP decide which port the pilot goes out of? Random?
If it is random, then you will see people docking/undocking again until they go out the dock that they want.

personally i think when u undock it should just drop you outside at say 1 of 10 points at set distances away from the station. i know it wont look as pretty as coming from a nice exit and its not relistic! but lets be honest you dont fly into the hanger when you dock u simply get in range and magically appear inside so i cant see the hurt in 'magically' appearing outside.

Actually.... This is a pretty good idea.
Each station can have 3-5 exits (depending on system). A randomizer selects your exit tube, giving no clear advantage to camper or undocker.
-Give a challenge to station camp -Alleviate the bottleneck undock at big systems(jita) -Give the campee a bit of a chance
Wouldn't be bad either to make it that you have to (after warping to station) manually fly within 500-1000 meters from station entrances. I always thought it was a bit off that you can only leave the station thru one area but can dock from anywhere.  _____________________________ Public Health Advisory - Say NO to OOC! |

I agree, more than 1 Exit, preferably 4, is a good idea. Hell, make it 6, on all axis, 4 side exits and 2 additional exits, one from the top, and one from the bottom of the station. And just cycle through them, by popping each ship out at the random exit.

Wouldn't this just add N x (number of campers) / exit?
I like the idea of random 'spawn' points though, anywhere from 30km-100km. Should fix the undockski/dockski shuffle..
