No amount of social skills are gonna get you a lvl4 (or even lvl3) agent. Also, the higher your standings get, the less effect the skills will have. They can get your standing from 0.1 to 2.0, but from 8.0 to 8.1. =AFK=

It is still far easier to get to 8.0 than a lot of people claim it is.

its just the sheer dullness of grinding up new faction/corp standings. It can be done is a week or two (got -1 standings to sansha up to +9.25 in two weeks) but it just breaks the will due to the repetitiveness(sp?) of missions.

Grinding up a standing of 7-8 in multiple corporations is just torture. I've already saved this stupid damsel 1000 times. I've got a large secure container BURSTING with +1, +2, +3 and +4 charisma implants from doing hundreds of storylines. And yet, for the billionth time, I've got to go break some rat's will. I think the will-breaking is happening the other way around, personaly.
Empire faction grinding is even worse.
I have no idea how people do this to grind up LP to get faction battleships. I'd go nuts and stab people IRL.

Grinding one corp to 8 IS easy, and doesn't take that long.
The second time is not as entertaining, the third gets pretty damn boring and after that it starts getting really old.
If you go for corps within the same faction it's not so bad as you can start with agents at whatever faction standing you have. This makes things marginally faster.

Ah so people go for +10 instead of just 8 for jump clones?
