Did I read somewhere that it is possible to run two EVE sessions on one PC?
Do I need to have two accounts or can it be done with two characters on one account?
Any Suggestions?

Yes, its possible to run two EVE sessions on the same computer. As long your computer can handle it! Yes, you need two accounts. Only 1 character per account can be active at one time.
You need a good machine, and I hear its reccomended to run the two sessions of EVE from different folder, although I run my two sessions out of the same folder,
Dual Screen is here FTW!

Yes, you can run multiple eve clients at the same time. THe only limit is how many your computer can handle running and the number of accoutns that you have.
So if you are an insane eve-addict and have 27 accounts, you can run 27 clients at the same time. On a side note, you also should have at least three therapists as well.

Eve is primarily a PVP game and hence our focus is on making that experience balanced.

There's no need to copy folders to run two accounts from one PC. I run all three of my accounts on the same box, and from the same .exe When you log in, just minimize, and open EVe again.
Run each instance in "windowed" mode, and I have to turn off sound. Which I think is something with my soundcard, if I run sound on all instances my PC will eventually lock up, which is no big deal...haven't heard EvE in over 2 years. I just play music.
Doesn't take much to run EvE, I would have 1Gb of RAM though, it helps.

I have a C2Duo + 2Gb, and 2 clients at once is no problem at all.

That'll do it. Have dual core for Eve is absolutely wonderful, as you can set the affinity of each core to a different session, and currently the game is CPU demanding and hardly at all graphically demanding. When the new graphics engine is released, CCP is saying that the two will be a bit more balanced. I suspect you have at the very least a decent video card in there, though, so that won't be much of an issue. ----- Griffin -- 100,000 ISK ECM - Multispectral Jammer Is -- 20,000 ISK Standard Missile Launcher Is -- 10,000 ISK War target sobbing over losing a fight in his T2 fitted Battleship -- priceless |

Here is the dealio...
You can run lots of accounts at once... I run three... but once you exceede two it is a good idea to split up the Eve folders... in other words... duplicate the eve folder and run the 3rd account out of there. There is a speed and stability issue when trying to run too many accounts out of one folder. Some say EVERY account needs its own folder,, but that has not been my experience.
