Like was said before if everyone could give points it would get innocent people banned. But if a forum mod just gives a -1 everytime someone posts something stupid like "ibtl" or some flame just to get others to respond (like CAOD is full with) then i think people would be more weary in what they post. Seeing all those 1 man corps in CAOD posting all kind of stupid things to make certain corps/alliances look bad is just so annoying and should be stopped.

Any large query on EVE-search hits "timeout expired" long before it finishes. However you can continue it just by refreshing the page. Now, with points - if the mods have to remove posts from the same user up to certain threshold (eg. 4 posts=4points), the poster would be blocked from posting for a period of time. This is what I meant with points.

On the 7th warning: You get a 72hr ban from posting on the forum. On the 8th warning: You get a one week ban from posting on the forum. On the 9th warning: You get a two week ban from posting on the forum. I call it the ZC321 effect, in honor of a guy I know through some other forums who likes doing this. What we really need is an ignore list, so posts from people or accounts in our personal killfiles wont be visible to us.
