I came across a raven ratting in one of the belts, so of course in i went. Was going ok, till i started to run out of cap just as i had him going into armour. Only one cycle left on my med repper and everything would soon be turning off. So open the convo i did and he payed up a cool 50mil about 5 seconds before all my mods went off. Constantinee Caldari Omerta Syndicate Exuro Mortis	Posted - 2007.04.11 02:01:00 - [7] about 2 months back ransomed an abaddon with my snake crow. crow orbiting 8k m/s against a t2 tachyon abaddon = abaddon cant do crap and dident have drones. asked for 100 he payed as my bloodclaws started going through his armor. saw him again a system next over ransomed him again. another 70 mil to my wallet. loged off logged in 3 hours later. random roaming there he is again. popped him this time :). t1 fitted snake crow ftw :) Omerta Syndicate

It was in a 0.8 system, saw the ship ratting (no joke), stole from a wreck. He shot me. For the heck of it I started to orbit close, scram him and pounded him with my autocannons and rocket launcher. To my astonishment his shield tank didn't handle me and no drones ever came out. The gist of the story : he hadn't played in years, and in total less than 2 months. He came back and mined his way in a Myrmidon. When I started to flash red he even thought I was a NPC. The funniest part was that he got a small neutralizer but he stopped using it because he saw no obvious effect. His comments after the fact "LOL it has been years I hadn't my lunch money stolen". Gave him most of the ransom back (had to pay for the ammo ;-)) and promise of equipment and fitting advice but he didn't stick to the game... Biggest wtf moment in game so far.

I was happily roaming my private sphere of lowsec when I noticed a Harpy and Enyo roaming around and harassing the locals. As I was in my Drake I suspected I would be able to handle them quite nicely, but I also suspected that they wouldnt dare crossing my path... However, as I warped into a belt where I knew a newb had been mining before the Harpy was sitting there looting a rat. Or the miner, can't really remember. Anyways, I promptly locked him, webbed him and started pounding him with HAM's. As the Enyo joined the fray seconds after I noticed to my horror that my shields were dropping fast and I was using the wrong type of dmg. As I switched to Torrents I also noticed that I had forgot my shield hardeners... I quickly turned them on, and the fight seemed to turn for the better. By now the two fles were already past my peak regen though, and being a kind of experienced lowsec dweller I quickly saw I was on the losing side of the battle. So I typed in the calmest way possible in local "Any chance of a ransom?" (My Drake was rigged with three shield rigs and was stuffed with T2 goodies. Of course I wanted to save a ship I had spent 150 million isk on ) and just as I was about to press enter, I noticed the enginetrails of the Enyo growing long as he warped off. I then pressed enter in disbelief. The Harpy pilot obviously misinterpreted (sp, anyone?) my intentions, and answered: "Sounds fair. How much do you want?" Luckeye!! Because of the Enyo warping off, whereas I was prepared to pay as much as 100 million to save my ship, I could now ransom a Harpy for 15 million isk. Later that day I encountered him again, but this time he attacked me solo. I was prepared this time around however, and offered him freedom in exchange of 10 million. This time he chose to spread his assets though, and I got about 7 mill in loot from him. -JM

Me and a friend in a Brutix were camping the Harroule gate in MHC- in our respective Brutix when a Hurricane and a Cyclone jump through. I slapped a point on the Cyclone, but the Hurricane appeared to be stabbed and got away from my corp mates point. WatchUrBak	Posted - 2007.04.13 17:48:00 - [30] think the best one,if not at least the most dipressing ransom we ever had was a freighter we caught in annunen,we spend a good 20 minutes talking with the pilot trying to get him to pay,came down to we give him money after he gets out of it-alt comes picks it up-ransom done.he gets out of it finaly only to have it blow up cuz it had such low structure :P what a waste of time
