So I'm out 0.0 ratting in The Vale of the silent and well. . . I've been getting mostly t1 loot. Is the fabled promised land of Belt ratters a myth or am I doing it wrong?

You sure aint going to get t2 loot, thats for sure. What did you expect? :)
You can get the occacional factrion drop, but its far between them. In your part, you get faction loot from rats called "Dread Guristas". And if you rat daily for a year or so, you might even run into an officer.

I meant non named t1 loot. Basically the same stuff you can get in .5 except battleship sized

get an alt, stick it in a hauler and clear all the loot from the belts once you have cleared em, refine the crap, soon after build yourself a new BS. Soon as you get some faction gear, do what i normally do. Get blown up transporting it to empire to sell.
