If price was not an issue, and each ship was fitted out with faction mods, which faction bs would come out on top and why?

The Bhaalgorn would go home with a hawt chick, cause it itself is so damn hot.
All in all I'd expect the Rattlesnake to win though. Good shieldtanking abilities, good damage output (although from missiles). Plus it's second-sexiest.

I am assuming you are talking 1vs1 in which case a rigged bhaalgorn could easily tank the dmg of all the other ones indefinetly while exercising cap murder on them and then finish em off with a few mega pulse tech 2's

Edited by: Phelan Lore on 11/04/2007 06:39:18 Vindicator would win or die. Rattlesnake would win or tank til it was unaggressed. Mach would win or run away (except against the bhaalgorn with an officer web).
I don't see how the bhaalgorn could lose (unless the other ship was fit for ewar). -

Not much more to think about.

With faction mods the biggest weakness would be cap I think and bhaalgorn is the best ship then. Don't know who would come in second and third place but I bet the Nightmare would end up last.

Edited by: Lord WarATron on 11/04/2007 08:19:01 Intresting topic. A Rattlesnake could in theory passive tank if it was facing a bhal 1v1, but that would hurt its chances vs the other ships.
But at the end of the day - Raven State issue beats all, with a almost 11k alpha + crazy ROF with all estamal BCU's and also using with rage torps, assuming the pilot webs and paints the target. :)
But on the more serious note, Pilot skill is the deciding factor in these theoretical battles than setup. All of these ships can conter each other baised on setup so there is no I-Win button --

Considering the power of nossies, the Rattlesnake would probably be the best of the lot since it is kinda the only BS that can fit a good passive shieldtank on top of non cap-using weapons. It is somewhat lacking in the gank department though, so might have difficulties killing the others before the passive tank breaks. It really comes down to pilot skill in the end.

In a tournament 1v1 with no scrambling needed, the Rattle doesnt need any form of tackle gear and thus can fit a full rack of officer passive hardeners in mids and CPR-II's in lows with purger rigs and could so passive tank the others. Bhaalgorn would win the rest with officer NOSes though.

How much damage teh balghorn would be dishing out?
Because if the enemy hass no capo drink.. balgh would have nothing. A passive tanked machariel (either shield or armor) coud defeat him since after second cycle balghorn would be geting zero cap from it.
But this on a specific setup 1v1.. on a generic setup yes balghron would win.

I think a specific setup would be pointless to discuss because any battleship can win 1vs1 if it is setup specifically to counter the other battleship and it's setup.

Rattler neednt necissarily come 2nd. A nano-nightmare could maybe kick them all, except the bhaalgorn who would suck it dry and no more mwd.
And how would cnr do vs rattler? Rattler has 1 extra low and about 1000 extra shield (base) but cnr has 1 extra launcher meaning about 850 extra damage per 8 seconds with siege II.
And witch is better of the vindi and the navy megathron?

think the bhalgorn would win, and only slightly win against the Rattlesnake if its active fittet :) else bhalgorn and Rattlesnake equal :)

lol if you add the fed mega and the others the bhal might still come out on top, since its the bhalgorns nos power that would result in its victory...

Bhaalgorn has fitting problems from hell...fit officer nos and you wont get t2 guns on there...fit a faction tank and you still wont get t2 guns on there...machariel ftw tbh.

About tanks, dps and other crap... each ship can tank others as long as it has cap charges. Bhaalgorn's chances of killing any of these ships is probably lesser than for any other, simple reason is sh1tty dps and by the time you suck opponent dry, he will lose agression and go away.
Simply for "real" pvp use, vindicator or machariel have use, rest is pretty much crap.
Oh and for bhaalgorn's dps... realistic dps after fitting 4 nosfs and proper midslot items comes around 300-350, depending on crystals and drone type. -------- I tanked D2 capital fleet and all I got was truncated Erebus mail.

I wouldn't use that ship even when i have got the ship for free, since i don't want to fly around in a ship that looks worser than my ass .
And yeah, a Domi would be able to take a more newer player in a Machariel, but if you goes against an experienced player that have used that ship for a long time and are specializated in that ship, then a Domi will be in trouble.
And those who says a Machariel is not a good ship, you really don't have the right skills to use it then, or the right setup. A perfect trained player in a Machariel is very dangerous

Because when compared to other Faction BS's, except maybe a nightmare/navy apoc, it is insufficient tbh.

Edited by: Laughlyn Vaughns on 12/04/2007 00:07:36 a bhaalgorn with a standard talisman setup would be very nasty, the nos would run aout 8secs a cycle and would suck practically every ship dry. u'd quite easily run a dual rep tank. its on my list of stuff to buy in a few weeks so if anyone is selling one i'm interested. my nightmare is pretty good and is almost fully setup now for missions (i'm no pvper) i reckon its a feature to go in E-On lol they did summat similar with hacs dodnt they?
oh and to beef, nightmare is a great ship to fly if a little tough to fit due to cpu

Any real reason. The above just seems to be opinions. I want hard numbers because I intend to fly a Mach later on down the road (6 - 8 months)
