Seriously though, the repetitive message is borderline torture according to the Geneva Convention... I've resorted to 1st approaching, then using open container when in range. Two actions where one used to suffice. |

2) is this a new issue? because it's most likley a bug if it is. i play with sounds off so i have no idea if this started when they changed aurura or if the last patch broke something

It is a combination of aura being troll, and your ship crew no longer being smart enough to close to range when you select open cargo on an item out of range. Instead your ship does nothing and aura tells you you have to be in range. I don't know when the changed happened but it worked great a year ago when i last played.
