Hello,
I need someone to school me on carriers. I have a few questions that need answering;
1, Assuming I have Jumpdrive Operation lv 1, and assuming point A to B is 47 jumps in a non-jumpdrive ship, How many jumps could a carrier do it in?
2, Can I immediatly dock when i jump directly ontop of a station?
Thanks in advance.

1. It depends on the systems. Jump drives work on the principle of distance between the physical systems, not the number of standard gates. Try http://www.eve-icsc.com/jumptools/jumpplanner.php to plan your routes.
2. You have to wait 30 seconds minimum. Also, you're caps gonna be raped from the jump itself.

Hi,
I have seen that jumptools facility, however someone said that it assumes you have jumpdrive operation level 5,
when I used the facility It said my 47 jump A to B example would take 9 jumps, can anyone confirm this?
N.B. Do you seriously think I care if you like my name or not? Im sure there are other decent people out there prepared to help me.

It has to do with the actualy lightyear distance and not the number of jumps. In theory, you could be 1 jump away but the lightyear distance could be multiple cyno jumps. Or the target 47 jumps away is within 1 Cyno jump. --

To be honest, you really shouldn't be in a carrier unless you have jump drive op 5 and jump calibration 4, Fuel conservation 4 is also a must.

You train Jump Drive Ops V anyway, so why not calculate it with that...
2nd thing, you can set which lvl of jump drive calibration and fuel conservation you have in the jumpplanner, so again, np there.
3rd thing, open your map, unflatten it, and see how far you can jump. It's messy with the 3d unflattened map, and the planner is way easier, but if you dont trust it.

Jump Drive Operation is just 5% less cap needed to jump.
So at I it's 90%, at V it's 70% I believe.
In the calculations on the planner it makes no diff, you should just know how much cap you'll need to recharge before you can jump each time, if you don't have conservation (less ice fuel needed to perform the jump) or calibration (further jump distance) then just leave them at 0.
