Ahoy mighty pilots!
About 2h ago I had my arse probed by a brave pirate (or what they call them self) and he didn't even use lubrication! Just got me self a nice little Caracal and took it out for a spin to test it on 0.4 rats. I noticed a lifeless bug with me in local chat but sucker as I am I was sure he would not get his frustration out on a 5 days old newb. I was so wrong. But it was my own fault that I didn't run the very first moment I saw him, it was my own fault for being good hearted and actually believing there was some good in him. It was my very first real PvP and even so I lost some nice things that I cared about (newbish lvl 1 implans, 5x SV-2000 assault missile bays, medium shield booster II etc) it was a good lesson for me. And since I guess that you get a lot of these kind of topics so I will spear you with rubbish chit-char, how this was lame, unjustice, unmoral, low and dirty and get to the point.
I'm no longer angry. I turned my anger in to motivation. And now... I want that son of a dog dead! And I want to kill him! I wanna kill that scum over and over and over and over again till it's not even funny anymore!
Problem is I am very green. Not sure what skills would be handy for PvP, what ships (that I can fly at the moment - frigs and cruisers) would be best for the job. He was flying Eagle so alone I don't think I will stand much chance. But... Since he showed me the real way how to fight in EvE I will be kind enough and bring a happy ganking party along with me. But I don't wanna just run whining to some guys and tell em to gank that son of a rat. No... I wanna be the one killing him!
This might take me a while to get the skills maybe even to get the better ship but I will get there sooner or later. And I'm asking you for some guidance, tips. Show me the path to my revenge, please.
I picked special ops, got good atributes for fighter, got my basic learning skills up a bit, got even some other skills I needed in my rat hunting.
Thanks to any one who will offer any help!
In the meanwhile I'll be picking up frigs, fitting em with cheap stuff and head out in to low sec for some PvP action, just to get use to the fighting, pressure and losing. And ofcourse to lose the fear of death and free myself! And ofcourse I'm not inerested in to becoming a pirate. </ >

I like how use 'I'm no longer angry' and 'I wanna kill that scum over and over and over and over again till it's not even funny anymore!' in the same paragraph.
Also, get used to getting ganked.

For your skills, look Here
Now, what the heck were you doing in a cruiser? Just because you have the skill to just barely fly a ship, really means you shouldn't. With all the skill points they hand out now a days, 11 day old characters in Vexors without 5 drones, 5 day olds in caracals.
Guys in a catalyst fitting lasers. (Named ones no less)
You see strange things near noobville. (low sec 2 jumps from 1.0, gotta love it when they ignore the warning)

Try and find others like yourself who have suffered at the hands of this pirate and group yourselves for an assault. But what you really need is isk to hire those who can do the job.

tbh, the guy did you a favour, you shouldn't be flying a ship that you can't fit/fly properly in lowsec. Its a mistake you probably won't make again in a hurry.
Imo, let it go and move on.
(of course, if you want to go after him, good on you - but don't expect results instantly)

Become a pirate if you want a crash course in PvP. Best way to learn the ropes imo. Chances are you will forget about this encounter because you will get ganked multiple times in Eve. Finding someone in Eve is extremly tough. Even if you find your target he can escape easily or just sit inside a station for hours.
Once you go YARGGH!!, you'll never go back. |

You never forget your first time And being pirate is easy. Well maybe not easy but definitely easier then going after pirates (you know... lone hauler vs skilled pirate that is fit to kill). Zedrik thank you! That topic is gold. And only mistake was that I didn't run. Ship was nicely fitted to handle most of the rats even in bit lower sec systems. Maybe if I had more experience I could do more damage to that guy. But I panicked. Lesson learned ether way.

I said it was a very good lesson for me. And it's good it happened while I was in "cheap" cruiser.
Originally by: Zhett Haukes Imo, let it go and move on.
It's way too much fun to let it go
Muhaar but I was not angry then or now. I was very angry for first 5 min, then I chilled a bit and thought about it... And then got even more angry once I saw that it was all my fault. But I am calm now. And still want to kill him over and over and over again
Thank you all for help!
EDIT:
Oh yeah. Forgot to say. I also know who is his scout alt (0.0 standing, NPC corp)... Maybe I'm gonna warm up by killing alt first, just to send a message.

It seems that you have come out of this with a good attitude, not saying "OMG NERF PIRATES AND LOWSEC" like some posts you see around here, good on you.
Good luck with the hunting! If he reads the forums, you have just alerted him though.

oh yeah, you¦re not angry... not at all. you¦re so over it!
acctually your anger has transformed into something very, very creepy and i¦m worried for you. you know this is going to happen to you over and over again. especially as you¦re adventurous enough to fly all over low sec (kudos to you).
i¦m just sorry that it wasnt me who got you.
where are my noobs in big ships!?! whaaaaaaaa

I never said I'm over it, don't make stuff up. When I kill the bastard couple of times then I'll be over it. And it will take more then couple of puny pirates to keep me out of the low sec, especially now that I lost everything I cared about. But my Merlin is dressed to kill, just need to find a pirate hunting gang and off we go </ >

Hahaaha your so cute with your little carebear claws.. Get over it you likely will never be able to kill him/her. Best bet is to learn how to play, lay low, then get enough $$ and sic the Privateers on his corp. But likely if he is like the Amod/Mod pirates, everyone in the area is his/her 'pal'...
Dont act like you didnt see the 'warning' when u made the jump into LowSec..
Welcome to Eve

You need to take a chill-pill.
If you liked the action but not the outcome then join a pvp corp.
But they wont like you being in their corp if you freak everytime you get killed.
Win some, loose some. Dont fly what you cant afford to loose. Of course the more you win and the less you loose the better

Edited by: Korin Veecolectus on 12/04/2007 11:26:14 My favorite way of dealing with pirates is to ignore them. They're not worth having a conversation with. There's more to Eve than low security space. Anyone who hangs around a gate all day long has severe "creativity" issues. Don't even give them the pleasure of your misfortune. It is not too late to say absolutely nothing.

don't be afraid to die over and over again. clones are cheap and a good fight is worth the inconvenience of having to buy another one.
its a tired phrase, but i guess it applies doubly here: don't fly something you can't afford to lose. t1 frigates are ******* ace fun.

Oh man Even on forums you gank up on people
Oh and Donna I turned that warning off the 1st time I got it, it annoyed on my low sec trading trips (and it was one more thing I had to do in order to get to safety if some one would attack me).
I guess it was a bad idea to come here and seek for advice on how to kill a pirate... When the scum itself owns this forum. Can we get some bounty hunters up in this place? </ >

How many times do I have to say that I am calm. I'm cool. I'm chilled! I did panic when he warped in, I was on fired up when he killed me. During the fight I didn't not think clearly and I'm not ashamed to admit it. But now I am as calm as some one can be.
I got my lesson about flying things. Only frigs from now on till my skills will be up to fitting an ass-whooping cruiser/assault frig/stealth bomber - What ever will work the best.
And I'm more then happy with my current corp and wouldn't leave em for nothing!

Well thank you all, sorry if I wasted your time with this topic.
But Marc, just out of the curiosity, how much would it cost me to get a assassin to kill a lone pirate in low sec?

I've forgot mine, it's usually my last death that sticks with me, until my next death, and then my next death ect... Mainly because in EVE if you die you either did something wrong, or you got blobbed

Forget about hiring somebody, you won't get the same satisfaction. Train up propulsion jamming and join a corp that will teach how to pvp. If I am not mistaken, Sniggwaffe is still recruiting and they are a training corp.
